Aim High was awarded the 2013 Excellence in Collaboration Award for forming successful collaborations to increase educational opportunities for underrepresented students. Over 1,400 students from the Bay Area learned science, humanities, math, and other subjects using hands-on projects. Aim High recruited, trained, and supported 443 teachers, over 70% of whom were teachers of color and over 30% were former Aim High students. Over 300 rising 9th graders spent a week learning environmental stewardship and leadership outdoors. At their most successful Generations Gala to date, Aim High celebrated achievements and raised enough money to send over 280 new students to their program in the summer.
