Ezhuthachan used the Grantha based Malayalam script to write his Ramayana, although Vatteluttu writing system was the traditional writing system of Kerala then.

Goal setting is the process of defining specific, measurable, achievable, relevant, and time-bound objectives that an individual or organization aims to achieve. It involves identifying the desired outcomes and developing a plan for achieving them. Goals provide a framework for action and direction.Goal-setting is the process of taking active steps to achieve your desired outcome. Maybe your dream is to become a teacher, musician or physical therapist. Each one of these dreams involves setting and reaching small (and big!) goals. Each of these major goals can be broken down into smaller, more attainable goals that will propel you towards success. People perform better when they are committed to achieving certain goals. Through an understanding of the effect of goal setting on individual performance, organizations are able to use goal setting to benefit organizational performance In addition, another aspect that goes with goal commitment is also goal acceptance. This is an individual's willingness to pursue their specific goal. Locke and Latham (2002) have indicated three moderators that indicate goal setting success:
1. The importance of the expected outcomes of goal attainment,
2. Self-efficacy: one's belief that they are able to achieve their goals,
3. Commitment to others: promises or engagements to others can strongly improve commitment.
Expanding the three from above, the level of commitment is influenced by external factors. Such as the person assigning the goal, setting the standard for the person to achieve/perform. This influences the level of commitment by how compliant the individual is with the one assigning the goal . An external factor can also be the role models of the individual. For example, say an individual looks up to their manager and cares about their opinion, the individual is more likely to listen to goal-setting strategies from that individual, and ultimately become more committed to their desired goal.
Internal factors can derive from their participation level in the work to achieve the goal. What they expect from themselves can either flourish their success, or destroy it. Also, the individual may want to appear superior to their peers or competitors.[] They want to achieve the goal the best and be known for it. The self-reward of accomplishing a goal is usually one of the main keys that keeps individuals committed.[ For example, if an individual was working toward becoming the president of their company, if they achieve their goal, they could reward themselves with something of importance to them.
Another route individuals can take to set their goals is to follow (STD) that is, setting their goals to be Specific, Time-bound, and difficult. Specifically, an individual's goal should be set at the 90th percentile of difficulty.
Goal-setting matters. Breaking down dreams into achievable steps is an important skill. It empowers kids to create a clear path from where they are to where they want to go!
Use our goal-setting activity to help girls break down their goals into achievable steps—and see a clear path from where they are to where they want to go.

I. Reading: Why Set Goals?
Why set goals? Having a clear direction for your future and a picture of what you plan to do is
extremely important for maintaining a positive attitude. Having clear goals is a key to creating and
maintaining a positive mindset even when “things get tough.”
Qualities of Goals
In order for goals to be useful, they need to have the following qualities:
The goals that you set for yourself must be based on your values and beliefs.
No one else can choose goals for you. Others can make suggestions, but you must "own" your
goals for them to be useful.
You must decide what you want to achieve.

Goal Setting and Planning
In this unit, you will be focusing on goal setting and planning. In order to set realistic goals for yourself, you must first have a clear
understanding of what is important to you.
You will also begin planning ahead for your Unit 8 project by setting up an interview with a professional in your chosen field.
Goal Setting
In Unit 7 you investigate the power of setting goals. You seek to recognize the importance of goal setting and actually apply this
S.M.A.R.T. concept to your Unit 7 interview with completion and submission of your project in Unit 8. Goal setting will assist you and
motivate you to reach for success.
Why is Goal Setting Important?
Imagine you decide to build a house. You do not bother with setting any goals for its completion. Wow. What a mess. Imagine you want
to be a doctor when you grow up, but never thought you needed to take a science class in high school, or did not even plan on going to
college.
Goals motivate us.
Goals stimulate your creativity. You use one of the best creative words possible — you visualize. When you engage in visualization,
you are on the top step of Bloom’s Revised Taxonomy. You are fully engaged in critical thinking. Without goals, you will not achieve that
visualization.
Goals guide you.
CS113 Unit 7 Reading page 3
Goals are set to lead you as you move from beginning to end. They carry you along your way.
Goals inspire you.
Goals help you to recognize that you are the creator of your own stories. You can achieve anything that you want to achieve with the
inspiration you will get from goal setting. You will take things one step at a time and with each step you feel the power of completion.
Goals challenge you.
If not for the challenge involved in accomplishing a goal, you would not get past the first step. Goals do not have to be extremely hard to
reach, and they should not be too simple either, as there is no challenge in that. You reach when you set goals. You want that object,
job, or future that.

of marketing resources. Formulating such competitive strategies fundamentally
involves recognizing relationships between elements of the marketing mix (e.g.,
price and product quality), as well as assessing competitive and market conditions
(i.e., industry structure in the language of economics).

Exploring Patterns of Connection with Social Dreaming
2012 Jan 01 Goal Setting in 12 Steps
1. in 12 steps Facilitator: Prof. V. Viswanadham Special Edition made for Yuvabharathi 1 st Sunday Programme on Personality Development – 2012Jan01
2.
3. The 1 st step in all goal setting is desire. Desire is the great motivator, the great force that impels us toward our goals.
4. The 2 nd step is belief – you must believe without a doubt that you have the ability to achieve the goal. So make your goals challenging but realistic.
5. The 3 rd step is to write the goal in complete detail, exactly as you wish to have it. Until a goal is committed to paper, it is not a goal; it is simply a wish.
6. The 4 th step is to determine how you will benefit from accomplishing your goal. Write out a specific list of all the advantages you are going to enjoy.
7. The 5 th step is to analyze your current status – where you are right now. If you wish to earn a certain amount of money, figure out exactly how much you are earning today.
8. The 6 th step is to set a deadline – Decide exactly when, i.e. by what date you are going to accomplish that goal.
9. The 7 th step is to identify the obstacles you will have to overcome to achieve your goal. You will find that the obstacles that loom large in your mind when you're thinking about them become small when you write them down on paper.
10. The 8 th step is to clearly identify the knowledge you will require in order to accomplish your goal. It is important that you determine what you are going to have to learn, how you intend to get trained, etc.
11. The 9 th step is to identify the associates and leaders whose cooperation and assistance you will need to attain your goal. Concentrate on what you can give, how you can serve, how you can contribute, and how you can compensate and reward others in return for what you want. In short, it helps to be a little less selfish.
12. The 10 th step is to take all the details you've identified in the previous three steps and make a plan. Make it complete in every detail, with all the activities you are going to have to engage in, to accomplish your goal.
13. The 11 th step is to get a clear mental image of your goal as already attained. Every time you get the chance, play that picture of your goal on the screen of your mind.
14. The 12 th step is to back your plan with determination, persistence and resolve to never give up. Your persistence is the direct measure of how much you believe in yourself and in your ability to succeed.
15. BREAK YOUR COMFORT ZONE COMFORT ZONE YOU COMFORT CIRCLE MINDSET GOALS & DREAMS COMFORT CIRCLE MINDSET COMFORT CIRCLE
16. GOALS must be put in writing. However, it doesn't mean that it is set once for all and that it is not to be changed. Goals need periodic revision and review. As circumstances change, and as you change, goals may need to be rewritten. Note that some goals will be abandoned and replaced with new goals.
17. Do not leave your life to chance. Make your own luck. Make your own success. You can make it happen by setting goals and then going out and achieving them.
