This document discusses using Kinect for Windows SDK with OpenNI and NITE to access Kinect sensor capabilities on various platforms. It can capture RGB and depth images at 1280x1024 at 15fps or 640x480 at 30fps with an effective sensing range of 0.5-4 meters. The SDK supports C++ and C# and works with Windows 7/Vista/XP, Mac OS X, and Android. It also discusses using xUnit and mocking for NUI testing and pairing NUI with agile practices like Scrum.
