The school librarian in Greece is a teacher who coordinates with the school principal and teacher's board. They work 38 hours per week to promote the library through activities and programs aligned with the school curriculum. The school library has a specific regulation and is open daily from 8am to 3:30pm for use by teachers and students. The librarian catalogs resources and organizes literacy activities while working within the school's annual budget and acquisition policies set by the Ministry of Education. Evaluation of the library is conducted twice yearly.
