In the United States the underside of the stair case has to be covered with ½ inch drywall

This set of spiral stairs presents a large point load on the building structure. That central post requires substantial support from below. We can’t see from the picture whether we have it here. In many areas, a spiral staircase like this is not allowed as the only way from an upper floor down to a main floor level in the event of an emergency. It’s very easy to lose your footing on stairs like this.
