This paper presents a comparative analysis of backward curved impeller and backward inclined airfoil in centrifugal fans, focusing on their efficiency across different operational speeds. Results indicate that the backward inclined airfoil offers higher maximum efficiency (up to 81%) compared to the backward curved impeller (76%), particularly in clean, dry air applications. The study highlights the power characteristics and optimal performance conditions for both impeller types, establishing guidelines for their respective uses in various industrial applications.
