This document outlines activities for a high school art class on drawing the human face. Students will copy portraits with and without inverting them to understand symmetry. They will learn basic facial proportions using a grid technique and create anamorphic drawings using a deformed grid. The main activity asks students to draw a portrait or self-portrait on a larger page and color it using saturated primary and secondary colors to explore expressiveness. References are provided on facial proportions and virtual face tools.
