This document provides information for students in Mr. Garren and Mr. Wagner's 7th grade social studies classes, including required class materials, rules, procedures for absences and passes, expectations, and study hall rules. Students must have folders, paper, pens or pencils by next week and follow general school rules regarding behavior, bullying, hats, food and drinks. Consequences for rule violations include warnings, detention, and possible referral to the office.

2. CLASS MATERIALS:
1. 2 folders with 2 pockets and
paper clasps for hand outs and
loose leaf paper.
2. Pens (blue or black) or pencils.
3. Loose leaf paper.
Please have all materials by next week.

3. CLASS RULES:
1. Follow all GMS rules.
-Discipline Matrix and Dress Code.
-No bullying. Bullying will NOT be
tolerated.
-No hats and backpacks.
-No food, candy, drinks.
2. Be prepared for class. (pen/pencil, folder,
HW)
3. Be ready when the bell rings.
4. Respect others. (property, opinions, feelings)

7. Conduct yourselves like ladies and gentlemen.
8. Stay in your seat during class. Ask permission to
get up.
9. Tell the truth; lying shows a lack of character
and integrity…. so do not do it.

5. 1. If you are absent, it is YOUR responsibility to
check with the teacher and get the work that you
missed.
2. If you know ahead of time that you are going
to be absent, ask for the work that you will miss.
You will need to give me at least 2 days notice
that you will be absent.
3. If you are absent, you will need to do the
following:
• Find out what work you missed.
• Make up the work that you missed.

Violation:
-Verbal warning.
2nd
Violation:
-Student stays after school for teacher detention
-Teacher calls home, sends email home, or sends a
letter home.
3rd
Violation:
-Teacher sends disciplinary referral to the main office,
student may/may not be sent to the main office.

appropriate information.
2. Teacher signs agenda.
3. Student signs out on pink sheet in back of room.
4. Student signs back in on pink sheet.

2. Student takes correct pass on desk.

2. 3 people are allowed to go to the library at one time.
3. You may only leave the classroom once.
4. Only one person out to locker, drink, and bathroom at a
time.
