Marion Movements of Priests
Takes place next Saturday 24th February in Carraroe Church beginning at
11.30am and concluding at 4.30pm. Adoration, Talks and Mass as part of the
programme. Tea available in the Community Centre. All Welcome.
Accord Elphin
Accord Elphin is recruiting marriage care facilitators for the presentation of Pre-
Marriage course in the Sligo, Boyle and Roscommon areas. Full training provided.
These are part voluntary and part paid position.

Trocaire
The Trocaire information pack for Lent is available at the back and side of the
Church after Mass. AN envelope is available for a "once off", payment. Please make
cheques payable to St. John's Parish, so we can cash then and record the contribution.
At the end of Lent all moneys collected will be forwarded to Trocaire.

Starting Soon at Yeats Memorial Building, Sligo. Creative Writing Starter Course
begins Tuesday March 6 10.30am-12.30pm for 6 weeks. Writing from a First Draft to
a Final Draft (turn ideas into finished poems, stories etc. suitable for publication)

The Irish Catholic Bishops’ Conference produce weekly newsletters called Choose Life
to encourage discussion in families on the value of every human life. Issue Two is now

Introducing Christian Meditation to Children and Young People
The day will be of particular interest to teachers and parents. It will take a practical,
hands–on approach and participants will leave with the knowledge of how to
introduce the practice to children in a straightforward and deeply meaningful way.
Led by Dr. Noel Keating, it will be held on Friday 23rd February at Star of the Sea

Volunteer in Africa
Humanitarian Volunteers are looking for volunteers to travel to Kenya on 17
June 2018.The volunteers will work on a humanitarian project for two
weeks. No experience required and no age restrictions. Support and
Supervision provided. Volunteers will also visit the resting place of the
Venerable Edel Quinn. No large fundraising. Volunteers will pay their own costs.
If you can assistteaching English, or assistwith sports, games, arts, crafts or more,
then you can make a real impact on the lives of the poorest and those without
