Life begins at Conception
At every point, from conception on, the baby has the potential to realise the fullness of
life that God intended. All that is needed is time and nurturing. Today we see more
clearly that human life begins at conception. There is no later stage in a baby’s
development where we can say; ‘up until now the foetus was not a person and now it
has become a baby’. (Copies available at the Back Door of Church)
Save the 8th Vigil
Join us for our 24 hour silent Eucharistic 'Save the 8th Vigil' for the
protection of the 8th Amendment and for all women particularly those
who have been hurt by abortion. It will take place in the Blessed
Sacrament Chapel beside the Cathedral, on Monday 26th March. From
9.00am until 9.00am on Tuesday 27th March 2018.

Annual Hunger Lunch
Annual Hunger Lunch In Aid of South Sudan will take place on Wednesday 28th

(St. Anne’s Youth Centre) Chapel Street. Please support.
Tobernalt Holy Well
This Sunday March 18th, at 2.30pm the Rosary will be celebrated at the
Holy Well for the protection of life. Please Come Along. Also, this weekend
we remember that St. Patrick and his followers gathered at the Holy Well to
explain the Father, Son and Holy Spirit to a pagan people.
Let us too visit this sacred soil.
Make Your Own Fashion Statement
Why not spring clean out your closet for charity this Lent and donate your unwanted
clothing in aid of Trocaire. All donations can be left at the clearly marked collection
point inside the Cathedral main entrance. All items must be clean, dry and reusable
and may consist of the following: adults & children's clothing, paired shoes, handbags,
curtains, bedding, & towels (no pillows or duvets) and soft toys. Please pick a label for
your donation at the Cathedral entrance.

Church Sacristan
As we are aware our Church Sacristan has retired. We are currently looking for a
replacement. The work involved setting up and clearing up before and after Mass.
Also some help at Funerals and other services. Work and hours are negotiable. No
Church cleaning involved. Full training provided and salary negotiable

Accord Elphin
Accord Elphin is recruiting marriage care facilitators for the presentation of
Pre-Marriage course in the Sligo, Boyle and Roscommon areas. Full training
provided. These are part voluntary and part paid position.

CADRA has to maintain the defibrillators/CPRtraining etcbatteries have to be replaced soon
and are very expensive. The usual cake sale will take place in Community Centreon
Good Friday afterthe 3 pm ceremonies. This yearit is organisedin aidof the local activities
including CPR/Defibrillators, Tidy Towns and Text Alert. It would be appreciated if people
