Parish Choir
Welcome back to our Parish Choir who resumes after the Summer
break. Rehearsals take place on Mondays at 8pm. New member are
welcome to come along to the rehearsal which takes place in the
Church.
Wedding in Carraroe
Those who have booked weddings in Carraroe Church will receive a
booklet in the coming weeks which will help the couple prepare for
their wedding. Pre-Marriage course should be completed at least 6
month in advance. Please contact the Accord Office at 071-91 45641 or

St Enda's National School
The boys and girls in sixth class are helping out in our Parish
as readers and altar servers for the coming year as part of
their preparation for Confirmation which takes place in May
2015.
Tobernalt Holy Well
The warm autumn weather invites us to visit the Holy Well for a time of
reflection and prayer. Among the visitors last week were 3rd and 4th class
from our school.
A Time of Prayer
A time of prayer resumes on Tuesday at 7pm, with Adoration, music and
guided prayer. Please come along and pray for your family and personal
intentions.
Lakeview I.C.A
monthly meeting will be held in Carraroe social centre on Tuesday 6th
October at 8pm. All members are requested to attend.
Day for Life 2015
The theme for this year’s Day for Life is “Cherishing Life, Accepting Death”. It is a
day dedicated to raising awareness about the meaning and value of human life at
every stage and in every condition. ‘How great a lie … to make people think that lives
affected by grave illness are not worth living!’ – Pope Francis More resources available

First Communion
A Talk for First Communion parents will take place in the Clarion Hotel,
Sligo, on 12th October at 7:30pm. The talk will be given by Bairbre Cahill,
faciliator, writer and parent. Full details will be sent to all First Communion
parents in our school during the coming week.
Diocese of Elphin - Parish Development and Renewal Gathering
Takes place in Boyle on Saturday October 10th 2015 from 9.30am - 4.15pm.

Recently Bereaved
We remember in our prayers the soul of Jim Gilligan, Carrowkeel
whose funeral took place on Thursday. Also, Gretta Connolly,
Monaghan mother of Carol Kearney, Ballydrehid, Co, Sligo whose
funeral took place on Monday. May they rest in peace.
Gala Concert
In aid of the Cathedral in Sligo on Friday 16th October at 8pm. Tickets
€15 Adult, €5 Child. Featuring The Army Band, Sligo Cathedral Choir,
and Edel Shannon. Tickets from the Sacristy in Carraroe After all
Masses.
Social Dancing
Social Dancing including some sequence and fun 2 hand
dances, with dance class beforehand, (Waltz, five, foxtrot,
quickstep) as well as refreshments served. Classes begin on
Wednesday 8th September at 8:30pm. All Welcome.

We are currently working on our Parish census for the new Church
year which begins in November. If you have moved into the area, please
contact us so that we can register you in our parish.
Beginning Again
An Information Evening for this specially designed programme which
helps separated and widowed people make a new beginning in life will
take place in St. Michael's Family Life Centre, Church Hill on
Thursday October 8th. Weekly sessions will continue on Tuesday
evenings in the following months. Please contact Frances at 086 2574038
for further information.

The Community Centre is now open for the New Year. The
refurbishing work is almost completed. Booking can take place by
