The document discusses kindness and goodness. It notes that kindness is about our attitude while goodness is about our actions towards others. Several Bible verses are presented that discuss God's kindness and love for humanity. Christians are called to clothe themselves with qualities like mercy, kindness, humility and patience as chosen by God. They are to reflect Christ's nature in how they treat others, including showing compassion to neighbors in need as seen in the Parable of the Good Samaritan. Choosing God's nature and counting on his strength enables Christians to live this way.
The Miracle of Mercy - Part 3 - God's Mercy & My FailuresLifePointe Church
This message is Part 3 of the series “The Miracle Of Mercy” by Pastor Chuck Bernal. In this message Pastor Chuck talks about “God’s Mercy & Our Failures”.
Our God is a God of second chances and fresh starts. The truth is WE HAVE ALL FAILED in some way, at some time in some context - and we ALL need God's mercy to move past our past. Some of us are still weighed down by our failure(s) and we need to be set free once and for all. Here's the good news, you do not have to be defined, defeated or destroyed by your failure - all because our God is a God of MERCY. Your name is not FAILURE - because of Jesus, your name is FORGIVEN!
In this message, Pastor Chuck talk about Peter’s colossal failure on the night before Jesus was crucified and how in spite of what he did, he found forgiveness and a renewed purpose for his life. And so can you. So, don’t quit, and don’t give up, even when you’ve experienced failure. Instead, allow God to use failure to move you forward.

How Can I Be A Neighbor? The Parable of the Good Samaritan (Luke 10:25-37)Mark Wickersham
This was a middle school assembly presentation I gave at Tianjin International School (China). Jesus tells us we are to show love and compassion to those we encounter in life.
The Parable of the Good Samaritan is a wonderful story that Jesus tells to illustrate how we have to love our neighbors as ourselves. It is about a generous person who was ready to provide help to a stranger in distress without hesitation. We should never ignore people when they are in need and assist them no matter who or what they are. Visit us at bibilium.com, a Wholesome Christian Blog that caters to the need of every member of the family. Spread the Love and Share the Joy. Celebrate the amazing goodness of God in your lives.
This is the first of two messages on the Cross of Jesus Christ as we prepare for Good Friday and Easter 2017. This is a good message about why God had to send Jesus to die fro our sins. Hopefully, this sermon will help us all appreciate the Good Father Who sent Jesus and the Gracious Son, Jesus, Who suffered so much to purchase our salvation from the debt of sin we owed God. I hope it will demonstrate to all who much God loves us that he would pay the debt He required for sin with the death of His own Son.

Few things get the hackles up from an atheist than the belief that God is a judge. You frequently hear, "I don't believe in a God who judges. I believe in the loving Jesus." They would be surprised that in the New Testament, Jesus is the very one who warns us most about a coming judgment, before which everyone will stand!

Too often, church relationships contain conflict. Paul teaches us how to overcome our differences and live like Jesus by working for oneness with one another, looking to others' interests first, and becoming obedient through service.
What is Worship? What are the words used in the New Testament for Worship? What does it involve? Is it just about singing? True Worship, Sacrifice and Offering.
In an ABC alphabet fashion, what does God say about you? Different terms with scripture are explored such as: Accepted, Blameless, Chosen, Delivered, Edification, and Forgiven. Bibically based on the NIV version.
This is a short overview of how to grow mature in the Lord. It is a life-long process but we all can do it. God wants us to grow up to be like Jesus in words, thoughts, deeds and character. The rewards of spiritual maturity are great here on earth and probably greater in heaven!

Title: Seeking Spiritual Things Part 2: The inevitable benefits of intimacy with Christ
Subject: The Fruit of the Spirit
Text: Galatians 5:22-25
This is a short overview of the five types of fathers whose behavior can leave their children with false impression of God the Father. The remedies for these "father wounds" are spoken about in the second half of this message which is online at our church website: john10-10.org The lies we pick up through poor parenting can keep us from having healthy emotions and from experiencing the full dimension of God's amazing Father love for us as His chosen children.
The ultimate goal of salvation is to have the most intimate, powerful, satisfying, transforming relationship with God, Father,Son & Holy Spirit progressively now and fully in heaven. Learn the benefits of this and the obstacles to it. The more we know God intimately, the more we know ourselves who are made in His image. We are more than we think we are and knowing God intimately will reveal that to us so we can fulfill our true destiny more.
After a repentant sinner experienced justification by grace through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ alone and has shown evidence of new life (new birth), this is a sermon on "Sanctification (Practical Holiness)" for the believers already.
The Miracle of Mercy - Part 6 - From Misery To MercyLifePointe Church
This message is Part 6 of the series “The Miracle Of Mercy” by Pastor Chuck Bernal. In this message Pastor Chuck talks about how we can help people move “From Misery To Mercy”.
One of the most important things we can do as Christians is to pass on the mercy we have received from God to others, especially in tangible acts of kindness and compassion. Mercy is unearned kindness - literally "LOVE IN ACTION". Using the story of The Good Samaritan, Pastor Chuck talks about why and how we should show tangible kindness to others and how we can help to move people "From Misery To Mercy".

This message is Part 1 of the series “The Miracle Of Mercy” by Pastor Chuck Bernal. In this message Pastor Chuck defines the Biblical concept of mercy and how mercy describes the character of God more than anything else. He then shares the 3 reasons why we all need mercy and how we can receive it. The message was delivered at LifePointe Church on Sunday, September 18, 2016.
In the third fireside in the series “Christ’s Ideals for Living” we look at how Christ lived and taught the ideals of Prayer, Forgiveness and Sacrifice.
5. Galatian 5:22-25
But the Holy Spirit produces this kind of fruit in our
lives: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness,
faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. There is no law
against these things!
Those who belong to Christ Jesus have nailed the
passions and desires of their sinful nature to his cross
and crucified them there. Since we are living by the Spirit,
let us follow the Spirit’s leading in every part of our
lives.
6. • People will see it
• People will be able taste it
• People will enquire about it
11. Kindness is more about our attitude
and goodness is more about the
things we do for others.
12.
13. John 3:16-17
“For this is how God loved the world: He gave
his one and only Son, so that everyone who
believes in him will not perish but have eternal
life. God sent his Son into the world not to judge
the world, but to save the world through him.”
14. Titus 3:4-5
“But when God our Savior revealed his kindness
and love, he saved us, not because of the
righteous things we had done, but because of his
mercy. He washed away our sins, giving us a new
birth and new life through the Holy Spirit.”
26. Colossians 3:12
12 Since God chose you to be the holy people he loves, you
must clothe yourselves with tenderhearted mercy
(compassion), kindness, humility, gentleness, and
patience. 13 Make allowance for each other’s faults, and
forgive anyone who offends you. Remember, the Lord
forgave you, so you must forgive others. 14 Above all,
clothe yourselves with love, which binds us all together in
perfect harmony.
31. Colossians 3:12
“Since God chose you to be the holy people he loves,
you MUST clothe yourselves with tenderhearted
mercy (compassion), kindness, humility,
gentleness, and patience.”
36. Colossians 3:10
“Put on your new nature, and be renewed as you
learn to know your Creator and become like him.”
37. Luke 10:27
“You must love the Lord your God with all your
heart, all your soul, all your strength, and all your
mind. And, Love your neighbor as yourself.”
39. Parable of the Good Samaritan
30 Jesus replied with a story: “A Jewish man was traveling
from Jerusalem down to Jericho, and he was attacked by
bandits. They stripped him of his clothes, beat him up, and
left him half dead beside the road.
31 “By chance a priest came along. But when he saw the
man lying there, he crossed to the other side of the road
and passed him by. 32 A Temple assistant walked over
and looked at him lying there, but he also passed by on
the other side.
40. 33 “Then a despised Samaritan came along, and when he
saw the man, he felt compassion for him. 34 Going over to
him, the Samaritan soothed his wounds with olive oil and
wine and bandaged them. Then he put the man on his own
donkey and took him to an inn, where he took care of him.
35 The next day he handed the innkeeper two silver coins,
telling him, ‘Take care of this man. If his bill runs higher than
this, I’ll pay you the next time I’m here.’
36 “Now which of these three would you say was a neighbor
to the man who was attacked by bandits?” Jesus asked.
37 The man replied, “The one who showed him mercy.”
Then Jesus said, “Yes, now go and do the same.”
45. Greek “chrestos” (chraystos)
It is a spirit of care for others, a desire to make
someone else’s life easier, a carrying of burdens.
46. Matthew 11:28-30
28 Then Jesus said, “Come to me, all of you who
are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give
you rest. 29 Take my yoke upon you. Let me teach
you, because I am humble and gentle at heart, and
you will find rest for your souls. 30 For my yoke is
easy to bear, and the burden I give you is light.”
48. Mark 8:35
“If you insist on saving your life, you will lose it.
Only those who throw away their lives for my sake
and for the sake of the Good News will ever know
what it means to really live.”
49. Colossians 3:12
“…, you MUST clothe yourselves with
tenderhearted mercy (compassion), kindness,
humility, gentleness, and patience.”

So how should we cloth yourselves with kindness & goodness? What make us a difference compared to all the kind people out there?
Two ways
Why?
