This document contains the agenda for a Warriors Bible Study group meeting on June 27th at Bill and Mary Sansing's home. It includes a prayer/praise list with over 30 items and people in need of prayer. The document discusses several Bible passages about discipleship, counseling one another, bearing each other's burdens, and the parable of the Good Samaritan. It poses discussion questions about what discipleship and counseling mean, what the Law of Christ is, and which person in the parable was a neighbor.

In the Gospel of John, we are told that Andrew met Jesus, with that burning zeal went and found his brother Simon Peter and brought him to Jesus. Jesus looked at him and said, "You are Simon son of John, but you shall be called Cephas". What did Jesus saw in Peter? What does Jesus sees in you today? How does one keep the flame alive? In what ways do I share or give testimony of the love of Jesus to others? As leaders, we are to seek Him, receive Him, know Him, love Him, serve Him and be like Him, you know….. it’s all about Jesus.

Shared joy by being engaged with people seth gatchell jan 12 2020Pacific Church
Every Christian is to be "on mission." Every Christian is to have a ministry. Though we don’t always see ourselves as being ministers of the ‘good news,” we are all called to engage with people! This week we will look at: Types of sharing we can do, why it is important to share, and some practical steps to begin a life of sharing.
Suffering is the necessity of the Christian life. Perseverance is a characteristic of a true believer. Christians must anticipate that the world will fight against the implementation of God's Kingdom on earth. Why? Because what the world, sin within mankind ans Satan value is the 180 degrees opposite of the Kingdom of God.

Renewed in Grace
In Jude 17-23 Jude shifts from piling up examples of false teachers from the Old Testament to a series of practical exhortations that flow from apostolic instruction. He preserves for us what may well have been part of the apostolic catechism for the first generation of Christ-followers. In these instructions Jude exhorts the believer to deal with 3 different groups of people: scoffers who are "devoid of the Spirit", believers who have come under the influence of scoffers and believers who are so entrenched in false teaching that they need rescue and pose some real spiritual risk for the rescuer. In all of this Jude emphasizes Jesus' call to rescue straying sheep, leaving the 99 safely behind and pursuing the 1.

11. Discipleship is
“equip(ping) His people
for works of
service(ministry), so that
the body of Christ may be
built up…”
(Ephesians 4: 12)
12. Discipleship is
Doing [that they should
do] the work of
ministering toward
building up Christ’s body
(the church)…
(Ephesians 4: 12 AMP)
13. Question
How do you do
discipleship?
How do you do the
work of the ministry?
14. Colossians 3: 16 (AMP)
Let the Word [spoken by] Christ (the
Messiah) have its home [in your hearts
and minds] and dwell in you in [all its]
richness, as you teach and
admonish(nouthetéō) and train one
another in all insight and intelligence
and wisdom [in spiritual things, and as
you sing] psalms and hymns and spiritual
songs, making melody to God with [His]
grace in your hearts.
15. Discipleship is
“you (and I) teach(ing)
and admonish(ing) and
train(ing) one another”
(Counseling One
Another)
17. Romans 15: 14 (AMP)
Personally I am satisfied about
you, my brethren, that you
yourselves are rich in goodness,
amply filled with all [spiritual]
knowledge and competent to
admonish and counsel and
instruct (Gk. nouthetéō) one
another also.
20. Romans 15: 1-2, 4
We who are strong ought to bear with the
failings of the weak and not to please
ourselves. 2 Each of us should please our
neighbors for their good, to build them up.
4 For everything that was written in the
past was written to teach us, so that
through the endurance taught in the
Scriptures and the encouragement they
provide we might have hope.
21. Galatians 6: 1-2
Brothers and sisters, if someone is
caught in a sin, you who live by the
Spirit should restore that person
gently. But watch yourselves, or
you also may be tempted. 2 Carry
each other’s burdens, and in this
way you will fulfill the law of
Christ.
23. Mark 12: 29-31
29 And Jesus answered him, The first of all the
commandments is, Hear, O Israel; The Lord
our God is one Lord:
30 And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with
all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all
thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the
first commandment.
31 And the second is like, namely this, Thou
shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. There is
none other commandment greater than these.

25. Luke 10: 30-32 (NIV)
30 In reply Jesus said: “A man was
going down from Jerusalem to Jericho,
when he was attacked by robbers. They
stripped him of his clothes, beat him
and went away, leaving him half dead.
31 A priest happened to be going down
the same road, and when he saw the
man, he passed by on the other side. 32
So too, a Levite, when he came to the
place and saw him, passed by on the
other side.
26. Luke 10: 33-34 (NIV)
33 But a Samaritan, as he traveled,
came where the man was; and
when he saw him, he took pity on
him. 34 He went to him and
bandaged his wounds, pouring on
oil and wine. Then he put the man
on his own donkey, brought him to
an inn and took care of him.
27. Luke 10: 35-37 (NIV)
35 The next day he took out two denarii and
gave them to the innkeeper. ‘Look after him,’
he said, ‘and when I return, I will reimburse
you for any extra expense you may have.’
36 “Which of these three do you think was a
neighbor to the man who fell into the hands
of robbers?”
37 The expert in the law replied, “The one
who had mercy on him.”
Jesus told him, “Go and do likewise.”
