This document provides an overview of the Digital Research Infrastructure for the Arts and Humanities (DARIAH). DARIAH aims to support digital research in the humanities and arts by developing infrastructure for ICT-based methods and preserving/sharing resulting research. It brings together activities across Europe and ensures best practices. Countries participating include Austria, Croatia, Denmark, France, Germany, Greece, Ireland, the Netherlands, Slovenia, and Serbia. DARIAH operates through Virtual Competency Centers focused on specific expertise areas to provide services for all European humanities/arts researchers. It also collaborates with related initiatives to further support digital research.
