This document summarizes the results of a survey of small unmanned aerial systems (sUAS) businesses on the economic impact of Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) regulations. The survey found that unclear and uncertain FAA rules have led many sUAS companies to operate without proper guidelines or remain on the sidelines of the market. Favorable regulations were projected to unleash significant economic growth, while unfavorable rules could cause the sUAS market to disintegrate. The majority of respondents agreed new regulations should balance safety with the needs of small businesses.
