his son, and to all his servants, that they should kill
David.

7. 1 Samuel 19 (KJV) 1 And Saul spake to Jonathan
his son, and to all his servants, that they should kill
David.
Saul had tried and failed at least twice.
Now he tries to involve others in his evil doing.

8. 1 Samuel 19 (KJV) 1 And Saul spake to Jonathan
his son, and to all his servants, that they should kill
David.
Saul had tried and failed at least twice.
Now he tries to involve others in his evil doing.
Sinners are like that:
"Here, have a drink of my
booze."
"Don't you want to try this
wacky weed?"

10. Warning
2 But Jonathan, Saul's son, delighted much in
David: and Jonathan told David, saying, Saul my
father seeketh to kill thee: now therefore, I pray
thee, take heed to thyself until the morning, and
abide in a secret place, and hide thyself:

God always has a man or woman who will do
His Will and thwart the will of devils.

Jonathan was God's man to help David.
Always think that you may be that one.

13. 3 (Jonathan) And
I will go out and stand beside my father
in the field where thou art, and I will commune
with my father of thee; and what I see, that I will
tell thee. 4 And Jonathan spake good of David unto
Saul his father, and said unto him, Let not the king
sin against his servant, against David; because he
hath not sinned against thee, and because his works
have been to thee-ward very good:

Jonathan is interceding for David with the Truth.
David had not sinned against Saul.

16. So why was Saul trying to kill David?
The sin of envy of David's courage in battle,
and his popularity with the people opened the
door for an even worse demon to come in.

19. Jonathan is trying to convince his father the king
that David means him no harm,
But rather has done him nothing but good.

20. 5 For he did put his life in
his hand, and slew the
Philistine, and the Lord
wrought a great salvation
for all Israel: thou sawest it,
and didst rejoice: wherefore
then wilt thou sin against
innocent blood, to slay
David without a cause?

21. Proverbs 6 16-19 These six things doth the Lord hate:
yea, seven are an abomination unto him: A proud
look, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent
blood, an heart that deviseth wicked imaginations,
feet that be swift in running to mischief, a false
witness that speaketh lies, and he that soweth
discord among brethren.

look, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent

feet that be swift in running to mischief, a false

God is love, but He hates evil.

look, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent
blood, an heart that deviseth wicked imaginations,
feet that be swift in running to mischief, a false
witness that speaketh lies, and he that soweth

God is love, but He hates evil.
We must learn to love as God loves, and to
hate what God hates, with all our hearts.

24. 6 And Saul hearkened unto the voice of Jonathan:
and Saul sware, As the Lord liveth, he shall not be
slain. 7 And Jonathan called David, and Jonathan
shewed him all those things. And Jonathan brought
David to Saul, and he was in his presence, as in
times past.

David to Saul, and he was in his presence, as in

When the evil spirit was not troubling Saul,
he could listen to reason.
But it didn't last long.

26. 8 And there was war again: and David went out,
and fought with the Philistines, and slew them with
a great slaughter; and they fled from him.

27. 8 And there was war again: and David went out,
and fought with the Philistines, and slew them with
a great slaughter; and they fled from him.
More glory for David as a warrior.

28. 8 And there was war again: and David went out,
and fought with the Philistines, and slew them with
a great slaughter; and they fled from him.
More glory for David as a warrior.
More envy for Saul as a king
rejected by God.
