1. LOVE SCIENCE
Marcelo Ruano, Elías Saldaña, Saray Sánchez and Cristian Sánchez have
studied how we fall in love in order to participate in the competition “El gust
d’investigar” of the Jaume I University in the subject Science for Contemporary
World.
In this work, they talk about the strong opinion of the society in beauty facts,
what increases illnesses like anorexia. First, in the prehistory, women were
bigger. There are some sculptures that show us this, like the Venus, who was a
virgin of fertility. Moreover, at the beginning of the XX century, the ideal girl was
with a lot of curves. But nowadays it has changed a lot, girls want to be in the
bones and boys only think to get fit very quickly. This excess is going to achieve
limits out of control, because we do everything that is in our hands to be like the
society wants to.
In our opinion, we think that it is an excellent work of investigation because it
shows us the reality where we are living and realize how bad can we feel
because of our body. That is a big problem now and every person suffer, since
teenagers until elderly people and we have to do something to change that
reality, because there aren’t an ideal woman and an ideal man, just people who
like people and no matter what society want to do with us, we must get through
this and become the person who we want to be.
