Contract manufacturing of individual Parenteral and Enteral Nutrition concepts
B.Braun operates manufacturing services which are ready to prepare individual admixtures
for parenteral administration wherever the pharmacy is not running its own aseptic unit.
We can also offer the production, filling and packaging of products for special Enteral
Nutrition purposes. Our portfolio includes liquid and powder products in a wide range
of market-oriented packaging.
Compatibility and stability assessment of Parenteral Nutrition solutions
Easycomp is a new software tool that allows hospital pharmacists to put together regimens
for Parenteral Nutrition from 2- and 3-chamber bags, solutions, emulsions and additives, to
see the resulting composition and to check if it is within the ranges of tested compatibility
limits. + + + EasyLab is a laboratory for compatibility and stability investigations related to
customer requirements in connection with Parenteral Nutrition. Its main field of activity is
to check physico-chemical compatibility and stability of TPN mixtures.
Consulting services for all Parenteral Nutrition pharmaceutical procedures
This consulting service supports our customers to comply with the increasing require-
ments for compounding procedures, e.g. management of clean room, proper disinfection
processes, optimization of the use of compounding machines and the development and

Discharge Management Services – TransCare
Healthcare policies in many countries have accelerated the trend for patients to receive
their medication and treatment at home. Patient choice as well as advances in medica-
tion and care have seen an increase in the different therapies that can now be safely
managed at home with support.
The B.Braun discharge management service TransCare focuses on providing high quality
specialist homecare services in various European countries (e.g. United Kingdom, Germany,
and Austria). We believe a working partnership is critical in providing truly high quality
care that is not only safe but also cost-effective.
Our services include:
 Coordinating care with all persons involved in care giving
 Training of the patient or team of caregivers based on proven nursing protocols
 Professional support during the course of therapy (e.g. reassessment, monitoring,
feedback to physician)
 Documentation of the whole process

Technical Services
Repair Service
Infusion pumps from B.Braun are maintenance-free. Hence they only need to be serviced
in case of the periodical technical safety check or a defect. Repair may be performed by
B.Braun facilities. In standard cases the repaired pump will be returned within one working
week. To ensure a fast repair process a world wide available Pick-Up service can be used.
Technical Safety Check
The Technical Safety Check in some countries is mandatory by law. In all other cases it is
recommended to be carried out every 24 months according to the testing point laid down
in the service manual. Forms for documentation are also provided in the service manual.
To ensure the high quality of our products the Technical Safety Check is carried out
exclusively by B.Braun trained personnel.
Spare Part Management
B.Braun spare parts are identical with the respective components embedded in the original
B.Braun pumps. Spare parts are managed by the Global Technical Service which ensures
high quality and traceability. The required spare parts can be identified in the service portal
(article number) provided in the internet.
Technical Training
To ensure a defective unit is properly refurbished any repair should be performed by
trained technicians using original B.Braun spare parts.
B.Braun offers technical training to enable technicians to make repairs according to the
defined repair process presented in the service manual. The technical training is offered
in our central training center in Melsungen or on request on-site.
