Do you think this is the best sorority on campus?
Yeah, because we do a lot for the community. We do our heart walk, which is coming up on
October 28th. We also do a red dress gala in the spring. All the money that we raise we donate to
womens heart health. We also do things like go to nursing homes, soup kitchens, charity events.
Our sister has a lupus walk coming up. We also do a lot of things together like going to get food,
hang out on the weekends, shopping, and lazy days in.

I think going greek really helped me get accustomed to moving away from home and coming ...
I began thinking who the best interviewee would be for this story and I thought the Student
Involvement Center would be the best bet. I thought if I could talk to one of their students then
I could get both angles of all the things the Student Involvement Centers does to help students get
involved and also how it helped them to make friends. Hopeful, I emailed them. I never got
anything back. So, I searched for a phone number with no luck and emailed them again. By this
time, I knew I had to change my story a little bit and get a new person to interview. My backup
plan was to interview a sorority girl about how going greek helped her make friends. I was going
to go in the O (which is where all the sororities and fraternities hang out and have offices) and ask
if anyone would like to do an interview for me. The more I thought about this the more I realized
how much of an awful plan it was. Instead, I remembered there was a sorority girl in my
philosophy class. I asked her if she could do an interview and she was busy until later that week. I

Over the course of the semester, I had the privilege of spending my Monday afternoons with
children at Discovery Elementary School in St. Cloud. I assisted in looking after the kids during
their after school program, Kidstop, and my responsibilities ranged from consoling teary eyes to
assisting with the reading of a girl attending Spanish immersion school. I genuinely enjoyed
cultivating relationships with curious kids from numerous diverse backgrounds. Throughout my

Mitchell calls them the Accusing Angel (Accuser) and the Serpent. They are both very powerful
and portrayed as supernatural beings. His first reference to the Accusing Angel appears early on,

Even though Satan and Lucifer may seem like synonyms, there is a slight difference in their
definitions. Satan is defined as the adversary of God and lord of evil while Lucifer is defined as a
fallen rebel archangel, the Devil. By these definitions it is possible to give either name to the
Accusing Angel. The Accusing Angel fits the description of the adversary of God because he is
sent to torment Job and test his faith. The Accusing Angel could also be depicted as an adversary
because of the way he tempts God into allowing him to test Job. The Accusing Angel says that
Job must be protected by some kind of divine power and that if he was to fall into hard times, he
would curse [God] to [His] face. The Accusing Angel also fits the definition of Lucifer because of
the idea that the Accusing Angel is a fallen angel. Thus, the definition of Accusing Angel is a
combination of Satan and Lucifer.
Mitchell also uses the image of a Serpent to portray evil in his rendering of The Book of Job. The
Serpent is not described in great detail until later in the story, but the description given is
extensive. The first mention of the Serpent is by Job when he issues his curse. Job says, Let the
sorcerers wake the Serpent to blast [the day I was born] with eternal blight. Job introduces the
Serpent as extremely powerful, but does not give the reader any information regarding
