PRECONFERENCE WORKSHOP: WELCOME TO THE ISCN
Goals
Provide background on the ISCN’s mission and programs to those new
to the “ISCN family”
Allow those who have been participating in the ISCN previously to dive
deeper into new ideas and examples of sustainability initiatives on
campus

Shared principles, individual targets (similar UN Global Compact)
ISCN 2015
3 shared principles on individual targets that each member school sets
against these
Accountability by members reporting regularly and publicly on progress
Provides a basis for benchmarking
Allows for cross-referencing with other frameworks and standards (e.g.
GRI, ISO, etc.)
Developed and disseminated with the WEF’s Global University Leaders
