While hackers have known the importance of sharing research to improve security for years, the importance of coordinated vulnerability disclosure is increasingly recognized by governments around the world. The principals of disclosure an protecting security researchers are common across borders, but different countries have some key differences. This panel will present a global perspective that may in turn inform key public policy and company behavior. ENISA has published 'Coordinated Vulnerability Disclosure policies in the EU' in April 2022 . This report not only provides an objective introduction to the current state of coordinated vulnerability disclosure policies in the Member States of the European Union, but also introduces the operation of vulnerability disclosure in China, Japan and the USA. Based on these findings, the desirable and good practice elements of a coordinated vulnerability disclosure process are examined, followed by a discussion of the challenges and issues. This session aims to share the contents of this report and clarify the challenges and future direction of operations in Japan, as well as national security and vulnerability handling issues in the US, in a panel discussion with representatives from various jurisdictions. The panelists are involved in the practice of early warning partnership notified bodies in Japan, the authors of the above report in Europe and the contributors to the above report in the US. In Japan, the issues of system awareness, incentives, increase in the number of outstanding cases in handling and so-called triage in handling vulnerabilities will be introduced. From the United States, the Vulnerabilities Equities Process for National Security and the publication of a non-prosecution policy for vulnerability research will be introduced, as well as a historical background on the issue. The aim is that the panel discussion will enable the audience to understand the international situation surrounding CVD, as well as future trends, in particular the important role of vulnerability in cybersecurity and the challenges faced by society around it.

This helps placing service requests while minimising the risk of spreading infections. The app can push notifications with relevant information.

2 Cloud computing threats One of the biggest challenges information security leaders have is being able to effectively communicate the value of their team’s efforts across the organization .Here the ability to accurately report on their organization’s state of security and communicate the benefits of a proactive security effort in a language the rest of the organization can understand. This session will draw from the experience of seasoned CISOs with proven track records in enabling core business objectives by influencing key stakeholders in the organization. These risk and information security leaders will share their advice on how to effectively create and demonstrate security’s value. The security function is often seen as doing security for its own sake, rather than for the benefit of the business, and so misses the point of security entirely which is about managing risk to acceptable levels. The security function all too often acts in a condescending manner thinking it knows what is best for the business when in fact it is just one of the various functions in which they have the organizations for business decisions. Business executives are far more interested in what is happening with information security than ever, thanks to a plethora of high-profile, very visible breaches and security incidents. The Biosurv program was tailored for a range of functions. Its main objective program was the rapid detection and notification of any possible health outbreak using cutting edge information processing technology. The mHealthSurvey application takes a few seconds to enter each patient's disease information. This rich dataset is sent over the existing commercial GPRS channels to a centralized database. With such techniques, the incoming health data can be automatically monitored for unusual changes in the numbers of reported disease cases. The same data is also used to characterize statistical relationships between all available combinations of reported genders, locations, ages, symptoms and signs, etc., even if the number of such combinations is prohibitively large for humans to process. That enables epidemiologists to pin down a potential outbreak of, for instance, a gastrointestinal disease among children living in the Southwestern suburbs of the city, before it spreads to other areas or to other demographic groups. T-Cube Web Interface (TCWI) and its underlying disease outbreak detection algorithms are capable of reducing time-intensive calculations involved in such analyses from hours or days down to as quick as turning on a light switch.

This event will adopt a hybrid format, allowing participants to join us either through an online Mircosoft Teams session or in person at TU/e located at Den Dolech 2, Eindhoven, Netherlands. The meet-up will be hosted by Eindhoven University of Technology (TU/e), a research university specializing in engineering science & technology. Power Grid Model The global energy transition is placing new and unprecedented demands on Distribution System Operators (DSOs). Alongside upgrades to grid capacity, processes such as digitization, capacity optimization, and congestion management are becoming vital for delivering reliable services. Power Grid Model is an open source project from Linux Foundation Energy and provides a calculation engine that is increasingly essential for DSOs. It offers a standards-based foundation enabling real-time power systems analysis, simulations of electrical power grids, and sophisticated what-if analysis. In addition, it enables in-depth studies and analysis of the electrical power grid’s behavior and performance. This comprehensive model incorporates essential factors such as power generation capacity, electrical losses, voltage levels, power flows, and system stability. Power Grid Model is currently being applied in a wide variety of use cases, including grid planning, expansion, reliability, and congestion studies. It can also help in analyzing the impact of renewable energy integration, assessing the effects of disturbances or faults, and developing strategies for grid control and optimization.
