This document describes a study that evaluated the wound healing potential of three medicinal plants using an excision wound model on rats. Extracts of Artocarpus heterophyllus, Murraya koenigii, and Punica granatum were prepared and tested for phytochemicals. Ointments containing the plant extracts were formulated and applied to excision wounds in rats. The ointment containing extracts of all three plants (F3) showed the best wound healing, closing the wound 99.11% after treatment. The individual plant extracts and ointments demonstrated wound healing effects, with the 10% extracts and combination ointment performing best.
