Quick Write-Up
Entertaining lesson that the students enjoyed. This was an in-between units lesson. Egypt was something the students always seemed to talk about, so I took the opportunity and ran with it!
Atlantis in Java Sea (Conference Paper)Dhani Irwanto
Summary
After thousands of years, so many of us still search for the answer to the mystery of Atlantis. From time to time, archaeologists and historians locate evidence. There have been many locations proposed for the location of Atlantis. Ever since the first recorded history of Atlantis, written by the Greek philosopher Plato over 2,300 years ago, debate has raged as to whether or not Atlantis ever really existed.
The existence of Atlantis is supported by the fact that it is described in great details by Plato. In additions, various conditions, events and goods unknown to Plato are also described in detailed and lengthy words. The recent knowledge of late glacial and postglacial sea level rise and land subsidence that occurred almost precisely at the time described by Plato also becomes strong evidence to the truth of the story.
Plato describes the Atlantis from point of views of geography, climate, plain layout, city layout, river and channel hydraulics, produces, social structure, customs, mythology and its destruction in details including their dimensions and orientations. These become the subjects of the author to hypothesize that the lost city of Atlantis is in Java Sea, as written in a book “Atlantis: The lost city is in Java Sea”, published in April 2015. The works include over 5-year research and analysis of textbooks, papers, internet sites and digital data collected by the author as well as some site observations.
The author has made a serious effort to match Plato’s narrative with his chosen location for Atlantis, namely off the southern coast of the island of Kalimantan in the Java Sea. He also uses his professional expertise to analyse Plato’s many references to the waterways of the Atlantis capital and its extensive plain. He commendably draws attention to the remarkable water transportation and irrigation system in Central Kalimantan. He also includes a number of maps used to support his views.
He found a lot more detailed evidence, summarized in a 60-bullet checklist of agreements between Plato’s Atlantis and Sundaland/Java Sea localization, as proofs that his theory is the most complete and accurate until today.

June 3, 2024 Anti-Semitism Letter Sent to MIT President Kornbluth and MIT Cor...Levi Shapiro
Letter from the Congress of the United States regarding Anti-Semitism sent June 3rd to MIT President Sally Kornbluth, MIT Corp Chair, Mark Gorenberg
Dear Dr. Kornbluth and Mr. Gorenberg,
The US House of Representatives is deeply concerned by ongoing and pervasive acts of antisemitic
harassment and intimidation at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). Failing to act decisively to ensure a safe learning environment for all students would be a grave dereliction of your responsibilities as President of MIT and Chair of the MIT Corporation.
This Congress will not stand idly by and allow an environment hostile to Jewish students to persist. The House believes that your institution is in violation of Title VI of the Civil Rights Act, and the inability or
unwillingness to rectify this violation through action requires accountability.
Postsecondary education is a unique opportunity for students to learn and have their ideas and beliefs challenged. However, universities receiving hundreds of millions of federal funds annually have denied
students that opportunity and have been hijacked to become venues for the promotion of terrorism, antisemitic harassment and intimidation, unlawful encampments, and in some cases, assaults and riots.
The House of Representatives will not countenance the use of federal funds to indoctrinate students into hateful, antisemitic, anti-American supporters of terrorism. Investigations into campus antisemitism by the Committee on Education and the Workforce and the Committee on Ways and Means have been expanded into a Congress-wide probe across all relevant jurisdictions to address this national crisis. The undersigned Committees will conduct oversight into the use of federal funds at MIT and its learning environment under authorities granted to each Committee.
• The Committee on Education and the Workforce has been investigating your institution since December 7, 2023. The Committee has broad jurisdiction over postsecondary education, including its compliance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act, campus safety concerns over disruptions to the learning environment, and the awarding of federal student aid under the Higher Education Act.
• The Committee on Oversight and Accountability is investigating the sources of funding and other support flowing to groups espousing pro-Hamas propaganda and engaged in antisemitic harassment and intimidation of students. The Committee on Oversight and Accountability is the principal oversight committee of the US House of Representatives and has broad authority to investigate “any matter” at “any time” under House Rule X.
• The Committee on Ways and Means has been investigating several universities since November 15, 2023, when the Committee held a hearing entitled From Ivory Towers to Dark Corners: Investigating the Nexus Between Antisemitism, Tax-Exempt Universities, and Terror Financing. The Committee followed the hearing with letters to those institutions on January 10, 202

Operation “Blue Star” is the only event in the history of Independent India where the state went into war with its own people. Even after about 40 years it is not clear if it was culmination of states anger over people of the region, a political game of power or start of dictatorial chapter in the democratic setup.
The people of Punjab felt alienated from main stream due to denial of their just demands during a long democratic struggle since independence. As it happen all over the word, it led to militant struggle with great loss of lives of military, police and civilian personnel. Killing of Indira Gandhi and massacre of innocent Sikhs in Delhi and other India cities was also associated with this movement.
A Strategic Approach: GenAI in EducationPeter Windle
Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies such as Generative AI, Image Generators and Large Language Models have had a dramatic impact on teaching, learning and assessment over the past 18 months. The most immediate threat AI posed was to Academic Integrity with Higher Education Institutes (HEIs) focusing their efforts on combating the use of GenAI in assessment. Guidelines were developed for staff and students, policies put in place too. Innovative educators have forged paths in the use of Generative AI for teaching, learning and assessments leading to pockets of transformation springing up across HEIs, often with little or no top-down guidance, support or direction.
This Gasta posits a strategic approach to integrating AI into HEIs to prepare staff, students and the curriculum for an evolving world and workplace. We will highlight the advantages of working with these technologies beyond the realm of teaching, learning and assessment by considering prompt engineering skills, industry impact, curriculum changes, and the need for staff upskilling. In contrast, not engaging strategically with Generative AI poses risks, including falling behind peers, missed opportunities and failing to ensure our graduates remain employable. The rapid evolution of AI technologies necessitates a proactive and strategic approach if we are to remain relevant.
2. Temple of Sakkara A high wall encircled the complex known as Sakkara. This wall was so constructed that it generated a wave of energy that also encircled the whole complex. This electrical field protected the complex. No one could enter unless they were invited.
3. This doorway was the only opening to the Sakkara complex. If the individual was to enter he or she must overcome all fear and insecurity. The individual who could not control his feelings could not enter.
4. To achieve the ability to exit into the court of the Emerald Fire the individual must walk through this long corridor of columns. To enter this complex was an initiation in itself. Only the pure of heart could enter.
5. These two pillars once stood on the top of the Temple of Sacrifice. If the candidate could walk through the light generated by these pillars he or she could enter the Temple of Beauty. The electrical devices in all the temples of Sakkara have been removed. Only the stone models are left to remind the individual of the past importance of this place.
6. The white stones in a circle shows where the exit point from the Temple of Sacrifice was located.
7. This picture shows where the sacred pool once stood. The students were taught to levitate over this pool. Along the walls of this school were placed these tuning devices. Here the students could learn to change their aura by sound and color.
8. Each chamber in this school was tuned to a different frequency. By entering the different rooms you could feel the different vibrational level. Here the student was taught to control the different levels of vibration.
9.
10. After the student demonstrated his ability to control his aura by walking through the Temple of Sacrifice he was ready to enter the Temple of Beauty. This is the entrance way. Only those that could maintain an Emerald Green in their electromagnetic field could enter.
11. The wall at this point is no longer here. At one time it encircled this whole complex. The wall was used to generate an electrical field. This wall could activate the Temple of Beauty and bring in the teachers from the higher planes. The choir director's podium was where a master stood and directed the students in a song that set up the vibrations to activate the whole complex.
12. Each niche or bay is where a student stood. Here they could add in turns their own vibrations to the common cause. In this way they could tune their vibrations to one another. The blocks were moved by the ability of the students to channel the mind vibration of the masters.
13. This is the final stage of initiation (the subjection of EGO). This temple is also known as the Temple of the Emerald Fire.
14. The temple of Beauty must be a stepped pyramid so that a pulsed energy field can be generated. The Temples' action was to provide a center for bodily materialization from other planes of consciousness.
