This document provides directions for a periodic table scavenger hunt activity where students answer questions to learn about the organization and elements of the periodic table. The objectives are to be able to name elements from their symbols and write symbols for element names, describe the arrangement of the periodic table, and distinguish the characteristics of metals, nonmetals, and metalloids. Students are directed to use the periodic table and textbook to find information to answer questions about element names and symbols, families and periods, and types of elements.
