* During my educational career at ASU I volunteered for the SDAP program which allows
students with Intellectual Disabilities to attend college through a two year program. This
particular student was a recent graduate of Watauga High School and was able to take
CPR, Life guarding and Appalachian Music Studies classes. My volunteer job consisted of
one hour a week spending time with this student in the community visiting the library and
various shops in Boone. I provided extra tutoring help to this student and provided
assistance with money skills. More importantly, I helped her have a fulfilling college
