Research Design:
 Descriptive Method has been used in this project.
Data Collection Method:
 Secondary Data Collection - Secondary data on company information would be collected from the
internet. It is done by searching related articles and journals and finding out relative information on the
topic.
Limitations:
 As this is a country report specifically to be submitted in the USA therefore it is time bound which is 3
months and this is very little time for successfully coming to a perfect conclusion.
 Most of the data found and analyzed is secondary data which can be or cannot be 100% factual.
 To study Operational Work Aspects of both companies.
 To study the marketing mix strategies of both the companies.
 Also a SWOT analysis of the both the companies with the STP analysis.
Operational Aspect of Blue Dart
 The Information Technology industry is, perhaps, typical of the changing and escalating logistic
demands of various industries today, irrespective of their category as 'old' or 'new' economy. In
the IT industry, the difference between success and failure is closely linked to the supply/value
chain integration, of which there are two distinct processes:
 1. The delivery of goods to the customer in the most reliable transit period (and preferably the shortest)
possible. 'Reliable' alludes to a certain guaranteed transit time for packages to reach customers or the response
that organisations need in the event of any exceptions.
 2. The reverse flow of acknowledged, signed delivery records without which, in many cases, recovery of bills
are virtually impossible. Especially so in the case of companies placing multi-location orders that could cover
hundreds of cities. The task for the supplier is staggering - plan logistics for deliveries to all these locations,
and hope for 100% of the delivery records to be returned before bills can be submitted to the customer. In most
IT companies, the role of 'logistics' or 'fulfillment' is key.

company hence sometimes it’s a problem if
they are not trained enough.

Conclusion and Recommendations
 FedEx has some benefits provided to the business organisations with something called as FedEx
Fulfillment Services where you can extend you day even after your business working hours they are
operating 24 hours with its global distribution centers.
 Similar to Blue Dart’s Express Limited service, FedEx has Critical Inventory logistics with more
benefits than Blue Dart.
 Blue Dart is only known to the Southern Asia part as such it should start concentrating on its global
presence. It should also focus on the promotion aspect as Blue dart has invested less in in advertising.
 The pricing policy of both the companies is different where Blue Dart prices its products for all
customers having varied services for different customer needs and FedEx has positioned its brand as a
premium brand in most of the countries.
