As we enter our 28th year of business in Louisiana, Global Data Systems
is set once again to disrupt the common thought processes of

With the opening of our International Corporate Headquarters
adjacent to our Gen 2 modular datacenter in Lafayette, the only one
of its kind in Louisiana, and our new satellite teleport, GDS is bringing

GDS is a CLEC (Competitive Local Exchange Carrier). In the US LECs are divided into
incumbent (ILECs) and competitive (CLECs). As a CLEC, GDS is able to generate
telephone dial-tone and data circuits and provide those services to 100% of all LEC
exchanges in the US. From a carrier perspective, and to get services to the "last
mile" in hard-to-reach and rural places, or where we do not have premise equip-
ment in a local CO, we also have wholesale arrangements with all major carriers.
Always-on Facilities You Can Count On.
The primary Call Feature Server (CFS) & Session Border Controller (SBC) is located in
Global Data System’s managed datacenter in Lafayette, LA. This Gen 2 modular &
hardened datacenter facility has redundant power, multiple backup generators, UPS
backup, fire suppression, access control, and is manned 24x7x365. Our secondary CFS/
SBC system is located within the Equinix flagship DA1 International Business Exchange
(IBX) in Dallas, Texas. Our primary locations, Lafayette, LA & Dallas, TX are interconnect-
ed via GDS' VPLS backbone network in addition to a redundant point-to-point links.
