Our lighting engineers developed a slightly customized GenLight-4X com- mercial solar sign lighting system that fit the customer’s budget, met their lighting requirements and performed well in the colder, harsher upstate NY weather (such as very cold, snowy winters). Reference Project A Genlight-4x custom lighting kit was used to light up the sign at the Ommegang Brewery right before Christmas. The system immediately saved the customer money by offering them an alternative to running power out to the sign from the grid. The difference in material cost of the Genlight-4x and the proposed installation of running power from the grid to the sign was already well over $1000 in favor of the Genlight. After the installation Adam continues to save approximately $25 a month by lighting his sign with the sun through the help of the Genlight-4x custom lighting kit.Ommegang Brewery wanted to light up their sign without having to wire and run a traditional sign lighting sys- tem, which can get overly expensive at NYS electric prices. A traditional lighting system would have required trenching, re-landscaping and a monthly electric bill for running the lighting system.
