7. Imagine yourself as Mr Wolf, the handyman. When
you wake up, you are going to tell the reporters
what happened after the incident with the pigs.
You may tell them about your intention , feelings or
friends .
In groups of four, you will prepare a short speech on
what you are going to tell the reporters.
Remember to use contractions and the past tense
as the incident was in the past.
Now, slowly open your eyes and convince the
reporters that you were not harming the pigs at all.

8. Example
I heard from my friend, Pinnochio, that the pigs needed
help to mend a hole in their houses.
So I rushed to Piggy One’s straw house immediately.
I am a handyman so people pay me for my service.
But Piggy One thought I was going to trick him.
So I blew his house down to show that a gust of wind
could destroy his straw house.
The wolf is trying to tell the reporters to take note of the actions.

9. SAMPLE
Prepare a short speech on what you are going to tell the reporters.
Remember to use contractions and the past tense.
I am innocent !
I was just trying to be helpful but nobody is listening to me.
I wanted to tell the pigs that the house is not sturdy enough.
The chimney didn’t look sturdy enough to withstand strong wind so I climbed up to
check it out.
Then, I saw smoke coming out of the chimney and heard screams by the piggies.
I took a peek into the chimney and decided something was terribly wrong. I’d
wanted to help and quickly slid down the chimney to see what had happened. The
next thing I knew was my fur was singed in a pot of hot water. I never knew water
could be that hot and struggled to get out of the pot before bolting out of the front
door.
As I was running to rid myself of the stinging pain, I heard taunting jeers by the
piggies behind me.
