  3. 3. INTRODUCTION WHAT IS WIRELESS? The word wireless in dictionary is defined “having no wires". In networking terminology, wireless is the term used to describe any computer network where there is no physical wired connection between sender and receiver ,but rather the network is connected by radio waves and or microwaves to maintain communication. Wireless networking utilize specific equipment such as NICs and routers in places of wires (copper or optical fibers).
  4. 4. 1G TECHNOLOGY 1G refers to the first generation of wireless telephone technology, mobile telecommunication which was first introduced in 1980 and completed in early 1990. it’s speed was upto 2.kbps to 5.6kbps. it allows the voice call in 1 country. 1G network use Analog signal. AMPS(Advance mobile phone system) was first launched in USA in 1G mobile system. first ever (cordless)phone to work on 1G network was Motorola dyna TAC8000x. frequency typically 150MHZ to above.
  5. 5. DRAWBACKS OF 1G Poor voice quality. Poor battery life. Large phone size. No security . Limited capacity poor handoff Reliability.
  6. 6. 2G TECHNOLOGY 2G technology refers to the 2nd generation which is based on GSM . it was launched in Finland in the year 1991. 2G network use digital signals. it’s data speed was upto 64kbps. features includes: it enables services such as txt messages ,pictures messages and MMS(multi media message). It provides better quality and capacity.
  7. 7. DRAWBACKS OF 2G 2G require strong digital signals to help mobile phone work. If there is no network coverage in any specific area ,digital signals would weak. these systems are unable to handle complex data such as videos.

  9. 9. 3G TECHNOLOGY 3G Technology refer to third generation which was introduced in year 2000s . DATA transmission speed increased from 144kbps- 2MBPS. typically called smart phones and features increased bandwidth and data transfer rates to accommodate web-based application and audio and videos files.
  10. 10. Features of 3G Technology Providing faster communication . send /receive large email messages. high speed web /more security. Video conferencing /3D Gaming. TV streaming /mobile TV/phone calls. Large capacities and broadband capabilities . 11 sec-1.5min.time to download a 3 min Mp3 songs
  11. 11. DRAWBACKS OF 3G Expensive fees for 3G Licenses services It was challenges to build the infrastructure for 3G. High bandwidth requirement. Expensive 3G phones.
  12. 12. 4G GENERATION HIGH speed data access. High quality streaming video. Combination of Wi-Fi and Wi-max. Capable of providing 100 mbps-1gbps. 4G should be able to provided very smooth global roaming with 4G PHONE It offer both cellular and broadband multimedia services everywhere. One of the basic term used to describes 4G Is MAGIC. MAGIC:- Mobile multimedia . Anytime anywhere Global mobility support Integrated wireless solution. Customized personal services also known as Mobile broadband Everywhere.
  13. 13. 4G (Anytime ,Anywhere) The next generation of wireless technology that promises higher data rates and expanded multimedia services. Capable to provide speed 100 mbps-1gbps. High QOS and high security. Provide any kind of services at any time as per user requirements, anywhere. Features included:- More security . High speed . High capacity. Low cost per-bit etc.

  18. 18. 5G WIRELESS TECHNOLOGY What is Huawei doing to make 5G a reality? Like others in the networks industry, Huawei is vested in delivering a 5G network as soon as possible. In November last year, the Chinese manufacturer partnered with Russian carrier MegaFon to develop and build a prototype 5G network in time for FIFA World Cup that takes place in Russia in Summer 2018. If developed in time, this network is expected to be the first publicly launched 5G network and Huawei also plans to also deliver the world’s first 5G phones in time for the 2018 World Cup. Huawei firmly believes that 5G will deliver the possibilities of 1Gbps data speeds, offer latency of less than 1 millisecond and support 100 billion connections as part of an everything-connected world. The company says that 5G will offer the benefits to mobile, Internet Of Things and Cloud services allowing data – both physically on your handset and virtually in the cloud – to be accessed freely and instantly.

Connectivity just about the world Uploading and downloading speed of 5G technology touching the peak (up to 1GBPS) Better and fast response. Based and policy to avoid error. Support virtual private network. More attractive and effective.
  26. 26. CONCLUSION All totally the best way to help all users is to use 5G as the next wireless system and in totally it is safety and secure for public, this the need that demands the solution. Todays wired society is going wireless and if it has problem,5g is solution of the problem. 5G technology is going to give tough competition to computers and laptops. It will be available in the market 2020 at affordable cost with more reliability than previous mobiles.
