2. SCRATCH is a programming language that lets
you create your own interactive stories, animations,
games, music, and art and share these creations with one
another over internet.
Scratch is developed and maintained by the Scratch
team at the Lifelong Kindergarten group at MIT Media
Lab.
3. The ability to code computer programs is a
important part of literacy in today’s society. When
people learn to code in Scratch, they learn important
strategies for solving problems, designing projects,
and communicating ideas.
It helps students to think creatively, reason
systematically and work collaboratively.
4. To start a new project
Go to Scratch and Click – File New
8. ADD A SOUND
Go to Sounds and drag out a Play Drum and Snap it on
to the Move block.
9. Click and Listen.
we can choose different drums from pull down
menu.
10. REPEAT THE MOVES
Drag out a REPEAT block and drop it on top of the
stack.
To drag a stack, pick it up from the top block.
We can also change how many times
it repeats
11. SAY SOMETHING
Click the LOOKS category and drag out a SAY block.
We can also change the words by
click inside the say block
12. GREEN FLAG
We can choose green flag and remove the previous
condition(when space key is pressed) to start the whole
script from beginning.
18. SAVE AND SHARE
We can save our project online as well as offline
To save the project online, make sure to sign in. (If we
want to save the file to the computer drive, click the
File menu and choose “Download to your computer.”)
19. We can also share so, others can visit and
interact with your project.
20. A Dialog Box will open as shown below.
Give a suitable name of the project
Give a scratch name
Type password
Click Ok
After Click ok
the project will start uploading
