2. • From Turkey to FSI, it took 10 hours and the travel was great. We were
very excited during the journey because we were travelling to a very
interesting island and would stay there for about 8 months. We are
going to learn many useful things related with cinema there. We will
find chance to improve our English as well.
3. • We travelled by a luxiourous boat. The journey was very good with it.

6. • After 10 hours of journey, finally we reached to the island.We came to
the island before Italian team. They will be here tomorrow. Deniz Şengül
was waiting for us there. She was very kind and friendly to us and we
felt confortable with her.
7. • When we arrived, first we took a survey on ICT and we were given
leafletin which you can find general information about our island, map
and flag of the island

12. • We listened to the national anthem of the island. We watched the
residents performing traditonal dance of the island. And then we tried
to performed the dance. It was funny
13. • Then we went to our hotel. The hotel and the rooms are great. Each
room has its own pool. The rooms are big and confortable.
14. • For the few days , we are going to stay with the students from our team
but then we are going to choose our roommates and stay with our
Italian friends in the following days.We left our bags at the hotel and
took a tour around the island.
15. • Mrs Şengül wanted us to explore the island by ourselves. We used the
map. The island is not that big but it is really beautiful. We tried to take
photos in every part of the island.
16. • We first visited the Film Studios as we are going to spend most of our
time here with our Italian friends. Classes are big and confortable. We
like them.
17. • Our second stop was the cinema. We know cinema tickets are free on
the island. That’s great. I think we are going to spend most of our free
time at the cinema
18. • This is the hospital of our island. There is also a helicopter here for
emergency cases.
19. • The only transportaion on the island is by bikes, hoverboards or on
food. We werent given any bikes or hoverboard for the first day, so we
walked . We rested at the park for some time and then back to explore
the island.
20. • The libray of the island is full of books. You can also find books in all
languages. There are popular books in Turkish. There is a special place
for the books related with cinema.
21. • Before it is getting dark we went to the beaches. Everywhere is full of
beautiful beaches. We are looking forward to Spring. It is quite hot in
the spring, so that we can swim veryday before turing back to our
countries.

23. • Then we visited FSI Teen Club. The club is great. You can drink different
kinds of fruit juice. There are some fruits that can only grow on that island.
There is no alcohol in the club. Smoking is also strictly forbidden on the
island.
24. • We were given some money (FSI Sterling).We need to earn money
because we cant exchange. So we need to do some tasks on the island.
Public jobs like cleaning the streets, planting trees, feeding animals or
working part time at the market, hotel or restaurant. You can even earn
money from doing sports and eating healthy food. Melike want to work
in the FSI Club.
25. • This is the market of the island. It seems small but you can find
everything you want in it.
26. • Before turning back to our hotels. We went to market to buy some
snacks. Opps look what Hatice and Nilüfer are doing
27. • The food at the hotel and lunch at school are free for students but you need
money for eating at the restaurant of FSI club. But we were invited to the
restaurant and tonight we are quests and wont pay for anything.
28. • At the restaurant, we were given the traditional food of the island called’
Carbomanti’ It is a really delicious meal. It is like our Mantı’ .

29. • Then we went back to our hotel and went to bed and slept instantly. We were
really very tired at the end of the day. Tomorrow our Italian friends are coming. A
busy day is waiting for them too. Probably we can see them at hotel at night after
their trip around the island.
