3. Artificial Intelligence, as it is perceived
today, can at its best create exceptional
expectations or at its worst apocalyptic
scenarios driven by fake news and/or TV
series.
IAQOS blends art and computer science to
make AI understandable to people without
previous knowledge of coding and/or tech
skills. In this way AI becomes a tool for the
implementation of shared ethical projects
able to tackle global megatrends. IAQOS
was first tried out in Torpignattara, the most
multi-ethnic district in Rome.

4. IAQOS - Open Source district Artificial Intelligence is
a project developed by the artistic duo Iaconesi -
Persico and Sineglossa. It was experimented for the
first time in 2019 in the Torpignattara neighbouthood
of Rome thanks to the “periferiA Intelligente” call
of MIBACT’s Direzione Generale Arte e Architetture

IAQOS, the small AI of Torpignattara. IAQOS, the first district’s
artificial intelligence, is about to be born in Torpignattara. Is it
a baby? Is it a robot? No, it is a small AI we can all talk with… We
are trying to record some good omens for this newborn. On
the 31st of March is the “birthday party” of IAQOS, and you are
welcome to participate. [people giving some definitions of AI]
the cells of this baby are made of data, of information, which
we gave it when we interacted with it. Right now we will see the
body of IAQOS coming to life through all these inputs. [birth of
IAQOS] IAQOS needs your inputs, otherwise it gets depressed.
We have to learn to live together because there are no
differences apart from the colour of our skin. How can we use AI
to develop informative experiences?

6. Make it visible – contemporary
arts residency for youth is a
creative campus that guides
youngsters through a creative
process, collective or personal.
The process involves the acquiring
of new tools of expression (related
to arts and new technologies) and
the development of soft skills.

7. As part of the fourth edition of
make it visible (2020), IAQOS will
land in Bolzano.
Thanks to a series of events and
a high-profile summer school, a
group of young people under 35
will develop, with the help of some
experts,asocialinnovationproject
leveraging IAQOS and its features.

8. In order to effectively involve the target audience (the under 35s and
other inhabitants), a strong marketing campaign has been developed
together with the artist Hannes Egger (#AIorPhilosophersStone).
