Ghigos group was born in 1998. Mission of the group is to
create a place for debate and confrontation, characterizing
itself through the exchange of knowledge, competences, and
information.
Since his inception, ghigos group has explored new fields of
research, pursuing the dissolution of the disciplinary borders
like as an opportunitiesy of critical reflection on project issues.

Ghigos Group becomes an architectural firm, Ghigos ideas,
in 2004. Ghigos ideas maintains and shares mission, vision
and interdisciplinary approach of the parent group, handling
different scale projects of different scale in various areas: from
the exhibit to the graphic, from the design to the architecture,
“blinking at” the arts.
In 2012 Ghigos renewed the common spaces of theArchitecture
University for Politecnico of Milan – Campus of Mantua, and it
was selected among the nine Italian designer studios who were
invited to take part at the international workshop organized
by Politecnico of Milan to develop the rice clusters project for
EXPO 2015; after the workshop, Ghigos was charged to do the
preliminary project of the cluster.
In 2013 Ghigos was co-curator of the design section in the
exhibition “ Senza Pericolo” at Milan Triennale Museum and
curator of the exhibition 1:13 – The thirteen chairs that were
never painted in Leonardo’s Last Supper.
Now he is attending to the urban design project “Lissone la
Fabbrica del Design” to new urban spaces in the district of
Lissone.
During these years Ghigos ideas has exploited many different
opportunities (competitions, exhibitions, installations as well
as lectures) to keep developing its own research. It has been
mentioned in both national and international competitions,
published on all the relevant italian design magazines (Abitare,
Area, Casabella, Cronache e Storia, Domus, Ottagono, l’ARCA),
invited to hold courses in universities such as Politecnico di
Milano and NABA.
TodayGhigos isinvitedtoexhibitions,conferences,competitions
and festivals connected with architecture and design, and it is
achieving national and international acknowledgments; in the
latest years they have been invited to join, as lecturers, the
ArchitectsWorld Congress (UIA) inTurin,they have been chosen
by Milan Triennale Museum for the Prime Cup project for
young Italian designers, they have been selected to the London
Festival of Architecture with the project “Fast Architecture” and
to the Geodesign exhibition with the “mobile archive”, a urban
re-appropriation device for memories and desires sharing, on
which intercultural communities may be built up.
In 2010 the project “panchina a dondolo” was chosen by the
“Collection of Milan Triennale Museum” for the second edition
of “The New Italian Design” exhibit, while some other works of
the studio were inserted into the traveling exhibition. Ghigos
wasinvitedtoshowafewprojectsatthe“Ventisettetrentasette”
exhibition at the Italian Pavilion during the Shanghai Expo. In
the same year the exhibition for “DOCVA” was unveiled at
the MAXXI in Rome, at the same time as the haute cuisine
restaurant “River Club” in Beijing.
Moreover, Ghigos looked after the exhibition “Vignette
dal mondo per i diritti umani” for the “Ministero per le Pari
Opportunità” and it was selected by Maxxi and MoMA for the
partecipation at “YAP 2011 – Young Architect Program” (5
european studios were shortlisted out of 35); in summer the
projects of these 5 selected studios were exhibited at MoMA in
New York and Maxxi in Rome.

  • 3. ghigosideas Davide Crippa, architect, interior and exhibition design phd and teacher at Politecnico di Milano. Barbara Di Prete, architect, product design phd and teacher at NABA (New Fine Arts Academy) in Milan. Francesco Tosi, architect, visual communication expert and web- designer. Ghigos group was born in 1998. Mission of the group is to create a place for debate and confrontation, characterizing itself through the exchange of knowledge, competences, and information. Since his inception, ghigos group has explored new fields of research, pursuing the dissolution of the disciplinary borders like as an opportunitiesy of critical reflection on project issues. to critically reflect on project issues. Ghigos Group becomes an architectural firm, Ghigos ideas, in 2004. Ghigos ideas maintains and shares mission, vision and interdisciplinary approach of the parent group, handling different scale projects of different scale in various areas: from the exhibit to the graphic, from the design to the architecture, “blinking at” the arts.

In 2012 Ghigos renewed the common spaces of theArchitecture University for Politecnico of Milan – Campus of Mantua, and it was selected among the nine Italian designer studios who were invited to take part at the international workshop organized by Politecnico of Milan to develop the rice clusters project for EXPO 2015; after the workshop, Ghigos was charged to do the preliminary project of the cluster. In 2013 Ghigos was co-curator of the design section in the exhibition “ Senza Pericolo” at Milan Triennale Museum and curator of the exhibition 1:13 – The thirteen chairs that were never painted in Leonardo’s Last Supper. Now he is attending to the urban design project “Lissone la Fabbrica del Design” to new urban spaces in the district of Lissone. During these years Ghigos ideas has exploited many different opportunities (competitions, exhibitions, installations as well as lectures) to keep developing its own research. It has been mentioned in both national and international competitions, published on all the relevant italian design magazines (Abitare, Area, Casabella, Cronache e Storia, Domus, Ottagono, l’ARCA), invited to hold courses in universities such as Politecnico di Milano and NABA. TodayGhigos isinvitedtoexhibitions,conferences,competitions and festivals connected with architecture and design, and it is achieving national and international acknowledgments; in the latest years they have been invited to join, as lecturers, the ArchitectsWorld Congress (UIA) inTurin,they have been chosen by Milan Triennale Museum for the Prime Cup project for young Italian designers, they have been selected to the London Festival of Architecture with the project “Fast Architecture” and to the Geodesign exhibition with the “mobile archive”, a urban re-appropriation device for memories and desires sharing, on which intercultural communities may be built up. In 2010 the project “panchina a dondolo” was chosen by the “Collection of Milan Triennale Museum” for the second edition of “The New Italian Design” exhibit, while some other works of the studio were inserted into the traveling exhibition. Ghigos wasinvitedtoshowafewprojectsatthe“Ventisettetrentasette” exhibition at the Italian Pavilion during the Shanghai Expo. In the same year the exhibition for “DOCVA” was unveiled at the MAXXI in Rome, at the same time as the haute cuisine restaurant “River Club” in Beijing. Moreover, Ghigos looked after the exhibition “Vignette dal mondo per i diritti umani” for the “Ministero per le Pari Opportunità” and it was selected by Maxxi and MoMA for the partecipation at “YAP 2011 – Young Architect Program” (5 european studios were shortlisted out of 35); in summer the projects of these 5 selected studios were exhibited at MoMA in New York and Maxxi in Rome.
