prepared wherein the line
departments of government, civil
society and academia complement
and supplement each other.
o Emphasis was given on details at the
block, district, and state level
coordination and review.
Proof of the pudding lies in its eating
o The response at the ground within
four months of its implementation has
been beyond expectation and the
Government of Odisha is now
extending the programme to another
25 blocks under Rashtriya Krishi
Government of Rajasthan has invited
Millet Mission Odisha to present their
design and is interested to pilot the same
in two blocks
Similarly Tribal Development Department
of Maharashtra has also shown interest
and the initial concept note was shared
with them. Consultations to happen at the
end of November
Many Civil society groups in Jharkhand
(Vikas Bazaar Network) and
Chhattisgarh (SRI Manch) are enthused
with Millet Mission Odisha design and
success. They are initiating conversations
with respective state governments.
Government of India has also taken the
guidelines of Millet Mission Odisha. There
have been news reports that they are
considering a National Mission on
