â Borraines: The borraines are fried leaves with honey or sugar
â Pastissets: Itâs a biscuit ïŹlled with chocolate or âcabell dâĂ ngelâ (a pumpink dought with sugar)
â Corassons: Itâs a normal biscuit.

Fira del raure:
Itâs a fair where you can buy artesanal products
from all over the Terres de lâEbre.
Itâs usually in ends of september.

Ginestar is a village from the arabs, but they found graves from before.
The name Ginestar itâs called this way because in the middle of the actual village
there was a large broom.

tomato and more vegetables sauce

The âsardanaâ is a typical dance of Catalonia. The people grab their hands in circle and
start dance. A famous âsardanaâ here is Santa Espina.

The most important festivity in Benissanet is Sant Joan.
â Sant Joan is a Popular festivity in whole Catalonia, but in Benissanet is their local festivity. In
Sant Joan every village does a large bonïŹre and throw ïŹreworks, they also eat the âcoca de Sant
Joanâ a dessert.
An important Benissanet tradition in Sant Joan itâs cook sausages in a small bonïŹre, and dance
around.

21. History
In Benissanet thereâs an air raid shelter from the Spanish Civil War, also called
âBatalla de lâEbreâ, called âLa Font Granâ. Now you can visit it, there you can watch
documentaries about the war.
22. The weather on Ginestar and Benissanet
Ginestar and Benissanet have a dry weather.
â In the winter, itâs usually cold, over 0-5 celsius degrees in the morning and night, and over 8-10 celsius
degrees in the afternoon. In the morning itâs so foggy.
â In spring and autumn is warm and cool, kinda windy, and it doesnât rain a lot.
â In the summer itâs so hot. In the afternoon it can reach more than 40 celsius degrees. The nights and
mornings are hot too, over 30 celsius degrees.
24. The river Ebre
â The river Ebre is 930 km. It starts in Cantabria and ends in The Mediterranean
sea.
â It is the second largest river in the Iberian Peninsula.
