Mind Map
• A short Comic Based on a sci-fi media
• A CD or DVD Case for a self created sci-fi
franchise
Mind Map
Final Ideas: Game Fan Media
• Poster
– I would draw out the poster on my ipad based on an
already existing game
• Mashup trailer
– I would mash up a trailer based on a game franchise
with already existing music and clips edited and
rendered by me
• Graphics Portfolio
– A collection of digital images I have drawn on my pc or
ipad based on a game franchise
• T-shirt
– A shirt design based on a Game franchise drawn,
designed and printed by me
Mood Board
Mood Board Analysis
Is there any repetition in the images you have collected? Repeated colours/images
styles/fonts/tone/mood
• The T-shirts tend to avoid using white, and when they do they use colours like black to make it
stand out from the background
• The Posters tend to focus your attention towards something like a characters or object and the title
will be placed next to it so it’s the next thing you look at
• The trailers use well placed music to form the trailer, the clips change in time with the music as if its
dancing to it.
• The fonts are either Big and Bold to make them stand out, sometimes in caps, or they ill use
unusual fonts to make you curious about it
• The fonts also have colours which separate them from the background
• The tones aim for the same tone as the product, if its action then it tends to show the action
though clips or images without spoiling it
• The styles the trailers use are bright colours usually surrounded by either black or another dark
colour
• The shirts tend to centre the image or text near the centre of the shirt
How will your mood board influence your final product?
it will help me create an idea of what’s already out there and that people like. It also helps me borrow
or use a combination of ideas from other influences such as colour themes, structure and composition.

Editor's Notes

  1. Bubbl.us or hand drawn-scanned using college printers exploring your final idea
  2. Bubbl.us or hand drawn-scanned using college printers exploring 3 potential ideas
  3. Collection of images related to your product/inspirational/visually interesting At least 15 needed
  4. For your idea, write a brief, informal proposal. Ensure you proof read and check spelling etc For the audience section consider age/gender/psychographic/geodemographic/social grade etc
  5. Discuss the other two ideas from your initial mind map and reasons for why you didn’t choose them
