production and rendering of services are done on
small (or) micro scale.
These industries make a one time investment in
machinary ,plant and equipment ,but it doesn't
exceed Rs10 Croce and annual turn over doesn't
exceed Rs 50 crore
WHY WE NEED SSI ?

consumption and also for processing industries are called as manufacturing industries
Ancillary industries:- which are producing parts and components and rendering services to
large scale industries
Service industries:- are known for covering all light repairs shop that is essential to maintain
mechanical equipment. These industries completely depend on machinery.
Feeder industries: These industries produce certain specialised products like electroplating,
casting, welding, etc.
