2. • We use simple past to talk about past
accions or situations, these actions
occured at a specific time in the past,
which could be identified functioning as an
adverdbial or simply omitted.

3. Structure
• This tense requires a very simple structure, which is
formed by three main elements; the first element is a
subject, that could be represented by a personal
pronoun or a noun, the second element is a verb in past
that represents the action performed by the subject. And
the least thing we need is an object, which is who
receives the action performed by the subject. This
structure could be represented in a formula like this:
• S+V+O
• In this formula “S” is standing for subject, “V” for the verb
and “O” for the object

4. • There are different forms or
expression for one verb, in this
case, for this tense, we are going Work Worked
to use the - ed past form, there
are two ways of bult this form.
• The first one is by adding a suffix

at the end of the verb that we want
to use, as in the first part of the Start Started
chart. The verbs submitted to this
transformation, are called regular Open Opened
verbs.
• The second is when a verb Begin Began
changes its form almost
completely,as in the second part Come Came
of the chart, these verbs are
commonly known as irregular
