Justin from Leadership Institute is here!
o What is leadership?
 Qualities – good communication, positive role model, willing to
help others, responsibility, confidence, taking initiative,
trustworthy, friendly, positive, knows when to take a step back,
determination, respect for others
o In the Leadership Institute, there is no real definition of ‘Leadership’
o Stick Figure Drawing Activity – self reflecting on our leadership skills
 Sharing with the other members at our tables
 Members shared their stick figures with the rest of our group
o It is important to recognize being in a position of authority (a boss vs.
being a leader)
o Exemplify your leadership characteristics!
o Ethics are very important!!!
 Ethical leadership
 It’s about more than the title
 Being a leader not only for yourself but for others too
SGA
o A new law was passed – free legal advice will be provided to students
o Making progress modernizing the RSO manual so it will be more
useful to groups in the future
o Native American Awareness Month
Fundraising
o T-Shirts are in!
 $15
o Firehouse Subs fundraiser is a work in progress
o Still taking $5 worth of pop can refunds
Community Service
o Rake and run was awesome!
 $70 worth of donations!
o 40’s Dance at Laurel’s Nursing Home
 Next Thursday November 21st
 7-9 p.m.

2.  Volunteers need to arrive at 6:45 p.m.
Socials
o Nov. 19th we will be making Thanksgiving Cards directly after the
meeting!
o THIS THURSDAY @ 6:30 p.m. there will be a social at Yogurt Yeti!
o Ice Skating Social
 Friday December 6th
 @ 6:00 p.m.
 $4 to get in
 $2.50 to rent skates
o Still looking for a social chair
Elections
o Social Chair and Public Relations Chairs are needed!
 Elections will be held next meeting (the 19th! NEXT WEEK!)
These elections will be for the position NEXT
SEMESTER
o You wouldn’t be on E-Board until next semester
20th or 21st Woldt, Emmons, Fabiano mini RSO table night @ 7:00 p.m.
