The meeting minutes discussed upcoming events like a possible karaoke night, a pop can drive fundraiser on September 24th, and adopting a highway for cleanup on September 22nd. Elections were held for various coordinator positions. Information was also provided on applying for NSCS scholarships online. The next general meeting will be on October 1st.

Minimum amount per pop can slip is $5.00, slips can be combined to
equal $5.00
Cans must be redeemed at a local store; Meijer, Walmart, Aldi, etc.
Slips can be brought in at any time during the semester
We plan on going to apartment complexes: Deerfield/Lexington,
Jamestown, etc.

o First Generation Scholar Award
NSCS will award (5) $1,000 scholarships to assist First Generation college
students in their journey to a degree.
o Merit Award
Each year NSCS awards $1,000 scholarships to thirty outstanding and
deserving new members across the country to help defray the cost of
tuition expenses.
o The Amy Shopkorn Student Affairs Award
Amy Shopkorn is a former NSCS employee. Two $1,000 awards are
granted to students who have created a positive impact on their campus
