Children will create bracelets, sweets, and candles for someone special to them based on the Hindu festival of Raksha Bandhan, which celebrates brotherhood and love. They will reflect on why the person is special and how this relates to concepts of protection in Hinduism. The class will be split into groups that rotate between stations to make each item while thinking about their special person. At the end, children will discuss who they made their gifts for and why, then take them home to present.
