2015
On 5th
June 2015, MANTRA celebrated World
Environment day with children in its partner
schools. Teachers, children and invited guests
planted trees in the school, making the premises
come alive with vibrant colors of plants and
flowers.
A drawing competition was also held. Children
across all grades participated excitedly. It was
amazing to watch children as they beautifully
translated their thoughts on paper with colors
and sketches.
…..when KG classrooms
came alive with colors.
At one of our partner schools, KG classrooms got
completely transformed when school management
allowed high school students to decorate and
rearrange the classes. Children covered the entire
walls with chart papers that had drawings of
alphabets, numbers, animals, fruits etc. They also
made the seating arrangement in U-shape that
made the classrooms look spacious. Amazing
results..!
Towards our vision of providing quality
education to children in under-privileged
communities, MANTRA started pre-service
teacher training for people in the community.
The first batch started with 9 youngsters. They
come from the same community, where the
Govt. Urdu School is located.
The idea is to create a pool of trained teachers,
who can play instrumental role in transforming
the lives of future generation in such under-
resourced communities.
