The brief was for a short horror film called "The Devil's Playground" between 5-7 minutes addressing stranger danger and teen safety. Each person had a pre-production role: writing the script, drawing the storyboard, researching the budget, and setting the production schedule. Strengths included good filming and editing techniques like jumpsacres, with the best scene being a forest kidnapping. Areas for improvement were organization and continuity between filming and editing. The assistant's role was helping with the storyboard by drawing and describing key scenes, and working as the cameraman to film each scene with the director.

1. Unit 2 Task 8
Aims of the brief
The brief is to make a short film between 5 and 7 minutes with in the horror genre which has
to be called ‘’The Devil’s playground’’. The message of the film has to be safety of teenagers
around stranger.
Planning
Each of us had a job to do in terms of pre-production which are :
● Script - in which Matei had to make up a script in which all of us had to agree
● Storyboard - in which Ruben had to draw the main scenes and describe them
● Budget - in which Farid had to research about all the products we were gonna use
and how much cost
● Production Schedule - in which our director Ali had to set up the day we were going
to film
Strengths
We had pretty good filming techniques and we took a lot of good shot in which we show our
strength and weaknesses.
The best scene we took was the forest scene in which we show the teen getting kidnap and
tied up.
We also had some good editing techniques in which we did a lot of good cutting and
jumpscares.
Areas of improvements
We could improve on our organization and make it more accurate in terms of settings and
place of filming.
We also need to improve in our continuity in our film editing and filming therefore is more
realistic and more entertainment.
My Role in the Film
In the film I helped with the storyboard in which I drawn the principal and most important
scenes. Also had to describe every scene drawn in which I had to say what happens and
what shot has been taken.
My job is this film was cameraman I helped to film and set up every scene in which the
director helped as well.
