• Integration of world class aggregates like M/s Cummins 230HP, 280HP, 380HP and 400HP, M/s

Chassis from Mexico, M/s Hendrickson Suspension, M/s Wabco and KB brake system, Cabin

• Developed Prima tipper platform, where all drive lines and aggregate are already tested, any
product can be formed by combination of driveline and aggregates. Its like batter, which is ready
to make any recipe.
• Prepared the strategy for BSIV launch of Prima tipper models, with optimum budget
requirement and testing, to meet the regulatory timeline.
• Always considered the worst case testing among various models of different tonnage, so that
testing and prototype making cab be optimized and product can be launched faster
Benchmarking and QFDs,
• Benchmarking of competitor’s product and driving better specification of our products.
Completed the benchmark activity of AL 2523 and 3123 tipper Captain, Bharat benz 2523, AMW
2523, MAN 25.280, Volvo 400, Scania 480 in India and 2528 Merc and 3335Merc in South Africa,
MAN and KAMAZ vehicle in Russia, IVECO, Scannia and Merc benz in Middle East, and Iveco and
Isuzu in Indonesia markets
• Parameters considered are driveline and power train, performance and fuel economy value of
competitor vehicles
• Aggregate level benchmarking of chassis, suspension, load body, casting brackets in order to
reduce the kerb weight of vehicle. Weight reduction of 1000kg completed on Prima vehicles
with introduction of high strength steel in chassis and tipper body
• Completed various QFDs across India and global markets to know the customer requirement
and provide application and terrain specific products
• Prepared house of quality and captured voice of customer, worked on requirements with
maximum ranks, eg. Integration of sleeper berth on Non sleeper cabin of Prima, Radial tyres on
construction tipper models, kerb wt reduction
Vehicle level performance calculation, Proto planning and validation planning
• Developed an MS Excel base program to calculate vehicle level performance like gradability,
max speed, restartability, tractive effort and carried simulations of tipper models and finalizing
the best spec by tweaking the gear box, rear axle ratios and tyres.
• Planning of total number of prototype building based upon on validation requirement as per
committed timeline by considering the worst case scenario.
• Completed almost 30 prototypes for domestic Prima tipper models and 15 prototypes for
international Prima tipper models
• Validation planning comprises of durability testing in domestic and international mines and off
road, performance testing, noise and vibration testing, vehicle dynamics, thermal testing, fuel
economy, Human machine interface, Accommodation usage for Prima tipper platform.
• Completed the engineering sign off (ESO- it’s a sign off between head engineering, head QA,
head production, head project management and chief engineer, declaring all testing completed,
all issues related to design and testing, purchase order availability of unique parts, line proving
and part quality related issues are closed and vehicle is ready for final mass production) of all
Prima tippers models and ensured first time right product to customer.
Fuel efficient, reliable, low cost of ownerships, first time right and IPTV reduction
• Designed and launched a super Fuel economy product Prima 2523.TK, a highway tipper in
competition. FE is almost 10% better than all competitors. Product is design by extensive
optimization of driveline, duty cycle study, other performance mapping like gear shift utilization,
bsfc optimization, saw tooth curve and restartability.
• Extensive fuel economy trials are done in both domestic and international market of all Prima
models. Selection of power train and driveline are such that Prima domestic tippers are having
almost 5-7% better kmpl and Lt/ton than its domestic competitors and Prima international
tippers are 10% better mileage than its competitor.
• All these FE trials are done along with customer, service and marketing team and concluded
with proper sign off
• Durability and reliability validation of more than 5000hrs for each Prima tippers is done in deep
mining like Ramagundam (Chennai), Lido (Assam), Talcher (Odisa), Korba(CH) as well as off road
and also in shallow mines line Dhanbad (JH), Raipur (CH). Also more than 3000hrs of durability
trials are done in South Africa, Middle East, Indonesia and Russia.
• With extended durability validation and better FE than competitor, achieved the less cost of
ownership of Prima tippers by 15-18% than AL, AMW and BB vehicles.
• Reduced the IPTV vis-à-vis warranty cost of Prima 2528.K by 90% by analyzing and the closing
the issues in terms of process, quality and design and by playing an effective role in CFT along
with QA, Production, Purchase and NPI team members
Innovation, Patent Acquisition, DFSS, DFA/DFM/DFS/DFMEA and Software tool PLM, Pro-e and JT
• First time designed the Engine driven PTO RMC vehicle 2523.K and show cased in EXCON’15
Bangalore. Drum would be rotated by engine only with PTO, extra engine for drum rotation is
not required.
• Participated in EXCON ’13 and EXCON’15, and show cased new product like, Prima 3128.K Deep
mining vehicle, Prima 3138.K 32cum coal tipper, Prima Lx tippers, Prima 2523.TK Super FE
vehicle and Prima RePTO RMC
• Successfully filled a Patent on improved accelerator system design on SFC models and discussion
for another patent is under progress for Auto exhaust vehicle control on Prima vehicles
• Awarded yellow belt for DFSS projects from external consultant, till date almost 8nos of DFSS
projects are completed, which helped in robust design
• All design releases are done along with sign off of service, assembly and manufacturing, so that
first time correct design release can happen, also DFMEA are signed off with QA team to take
care of failure modes.
• Proficient in PLM (product life cycle management), all design activities are carried in PLM, DMU
making and review are done Pro-e and JT software

• Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Service, Quality, Project Management, Purchase and
Production in formulating project strategies and delivering first time right product to meet
customer requirements

Selection of power train and driveline are such that Prima domestic tippers are having almost 5-7% better kmpl and Lt/ton than its domestic competitors and Prima international tippers are 10% better mileage than its competitor. • All these FE trials are done along with customer, service and marketing team and concluded with proper sign off • Durability and reliability validation of more than 5000hrs for each Prima tippers is done in deep mining like Ramagundam (Chennai), Lido (Assam), Talcher (Odisa), Korba(CH) as well as off road and also in shallow mines line Dhanbad (JH), Raipur (CH). Also more than 3000hrs of durability trials are done in South Africa, Middle East, Indonesia and Russia. • With extended durability validation and better FE than competitor, achieved the less cost of ownership of Prima tippers by 15-18% than AL, AMW and BB vehicles. • Reduced the IPTV vis-à-vis warranty cost of Prima 2528.K by 90% by analyzing and the closing the issues in terms of process, quality and design and by playing an effective role in CFT along with QA, Production, Purchase and NPI team members Innovation, Patent Acquisition, DFSS, DFA/DFM/DFS/DFMEA and Software tool PLM, Pro-e and JT • First time designed the Engine driven PTO RMC vehicle 2523.K and show cased in EXCON’15 Bangalore. Drum would be rotated by engine only with PTO, extra engine for drum rotation is not required. • Participated in EXCON ’13 and EXCON’15, and show cased new product like, Prima 3128.K Deep mining vehicle, Prima 3138.K 32cum coal tipper, Prima Lx tippers, Prima 2523.TK Super FE vehicle and Prima RePTO RMC • Successfully filled a Patent on improved accelerator system design on SFC models and discussion for another patent is under progress for Auto exhaust vehicle control on Prima vehicles • Awarded yellow belt for DFSS projects from external consultant, till date almost 8nos of DFSS projects are completed, which helped in robust design • All design releases are done along with sign off of service, assembly and manufacturing, so that first time correct design release can happen, also DFMEA are signed off with QA team to take care of failure modes.
