Jorge Morais is a mechanical engineer with over 15 years of experience in product development for the automotive industry. • Implement safety and ergonomic improvement projects, like beam supports design, lifting
drum cabin and conveyor belt roller maintenance dispositive (project for internal
improvement program competition).
• Identify all not covered areas responsible for rainwater entrance on the precipitation phase
to reduce the amount of energy to vaporize water on the process. 1200m² area reduced (2M
USD saved in 2007).

and manufacturing of SAE BAJA all-terrain vehicle
transmission and brake systems for competitive and
scientific purposes, using CAD, FEA and
mathematical models.
Project Author : Conical brake system for small vehicles,
presented at the XVI international congress SAE BRASIL 2007
awarded among the 3 best projects in Latin America.
The brake system proposed could transmit power through a
conical face, using a 12 degrees angle, obtaining a torque 4.8
times greater than a conventional disk brake for the same
comparative parameters.
