The Sherlock Holmes Museum is located in a Georgian townhouse at 221B Baker Street in London that was formerly used as a boarding house from 1860 to 1936. The museum covers the period from 1881 to 1904 when, according to Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's stories, Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson resided there as tenants. The museum is run by the Sherlock Holmes Society of England, a non-profit organization dedicated to the famous fictional detective Sherlock Holmes.
