3.  In Psychology there is a view that climate has a direct
effect on Human temperament.
 We can observe the effects of climate from the fact
that it effects human in different ways life food intake,
architecture, dressing , agriculture… etc.
 In Pakistan the effects of climate are noticeable from
the following points.
1. In Northern areas the people wear heavy clothing
items whereas people of the plain region mostly
wear cotton cloths and light articles of clothing.
2. In the hilly and mountainous regions of Pakistan
people consume diet that is rich in fat and
carbohydrates where as people of the plain region
consume Lassi (laben) in avert the heat.

4. 3. In the Mountainous region of Pakistan people make
houses with slops because there is heavy rainfall and
snowing it those areas, similarly in the hot plain and
coastal regions of Pakistan people make houses with
high walls and the walls have ventilation inlets or
vents to allow the cool wind into the house.
4. The mountainous region has little agriculture
production during the winters whereas the Plain
regions are more productive in agriculture due to
temperate climate in winter and warm weather in
spring is ideal for vegetable production.
5. due to the varying geography certain areas in the
mountainous regions are the natural channels for
rivers which deposit rich Alluvial soil in areas like
Swat….. etc

5. 6. due to heavy rainfall in the hilly region the northern
region of Pakistan boasts excellent hill resorts and
scenic beauty like Murree, khagan, Narran, gilgit,
Swat, Kalam, Shogran……etc

7.  Pakistan enjoys central position among the Muslim world.
 Pakistan since the time of its creation has enjoyed central
position in the world politics, especially during the cold war
era.
 Pakistan joined non-aligned movement in 1979 and improved
its status in the third world.
 Pakistan has always supported nations seeking their right of
self determination and has took firm stance against imperial
powers.
 Pakistan due to her position provides transit facility to central
Asian countries.
 Pakistan enjoys four seasons and possesses ancient and natural
scenic tourist sites.

8.  Pakistan possesses deepwater sea ports which
remain active through out the year.
 Pakistan is located at an important Geostrategic
location over which global air routes cross from
east to west.
 Pakistan is located near emerging economic
power like China and has trade links with China
which is necessary for economic development.
 Pakistan is located near oil rich central Asian and
middle eastern countries.
 Pakistan is located near Iran and Afghanistan
which are the center stage of world politics and
regional stability.
