2. Mammals have 2
circulatory systems
• The main transport system of all mammals is
the blood transportation system which is also
known as the circulatory system.
• The circulatory is made up of tubes that
transports blood these tubes are called blood
vessels.
• The heart keeps the blood flowing through
the vessels.
3. Layout of the
circulatory system
The diagram illustrates the
general layout of the human
blood system. Those arrows
shows the direction of the
blood flow. If you follow the
arrows beginning at the
lungs, you can see the blood
flows into the left-hand side
of the heart, and then out to
the rest of the body. It is
brought back to the lungs

5. Blood becomes oxygenated and
deoxygenated
• The blood that contains oxygen (the
pure blood) in other words it is called
oxygenated blood.
• The blood that contain the waste
materials of cell (CO2) is known as
deoxygenated blood.
6. THE HEART
• The function of the heart is to pump the blood.
• It is made up of cardiac muscle.
• The muscle contracts and relaxes regularly.
• The two upper chambers are atria.
• The two lower chambers are ventricles.
• The two sides are completely different they are
divided by septum
