2. The lighting in the rap genre is conventionally
quite dark which a lot of the time represents
the night life within the genre a lot of the mise
en scene in rap is in clubs or bars so which
the lighting is dark
. As you can see on the left these three
images create the illusion its night with dark
purples and blues which also create mystery
and cinematography they amplify everything
to make it a more visual experience.
The beat of my song is very fast paced and
has a lot of heavy bass so therefore i want my
lighting to be dramatic and to incorporate alot
of dark blues and reds in order to conform to
the genre so my video looks as realistic as
possible.
3. I need my lighting in my video to be very
dark and dramatic throughout i wanted to
use a lot of effects like strobe lighting for
example as I believe it creates a high
intensity effect it gives the effect of
disappearance. The lighting artificial while
creating a mood than it looking realistic .
Within the college and home I don't have
access to this type of equipment although I
could use home remedies like torches and
back lights to create the same effect.
There's also techniques on final cut pro in
which i could add in a strobe like effect
4. One of the main inspirations for the lighting
in my music video comes from ZAYN with
his video Pillow Talk the shots are minimal
but have a lot of effect due to its high
intensity lighting.
The first shot is faded with a red and purple
effect which I think could look effective in
my video as red was one of the colours
that conformed to the genre.
The second and third shots lighting creates
an almost plastic effect it makes the shot
feel more animated and visually beautiful
its more exciting for the audience I hope I
can add this effect to my video to help
portray the narrative
